Description: Edmodo is a website that can be used in schools to connect teachers, and

students, for collaborative learning.

How the tool can be used by the teacher is they can use it for communication, they can

talk with their students, they can share things with their students, such as assignments,

presentations, notes, and videos, they can post things for students, they can set up

calendars, they can give badges, they can share things with other teachers, they can talk

to fellow teachers, they can get lesson plans.

How the tool can be used by the student is they can connect with their classmates, they

can talk, they can turn in work, they can upload sound files, they can share their work

with their classmates, they can peer review each other’s work, they can store their work,

they can connect to google drive, they can link things to their account, they can get

grades, they can talk with people from around the world, and they can do book clubs, and

other clubs, where they can communicate about specific things.

Some advantages of using the tool are that there is communication. Teachers and

students can talk with one another, and do collaborative learning, and school related

activities.

Description: Quizlet is a website that allows people to create study sets/sheets/pages, to

study and to be able to share them with others, so that they can study, and learn the

information too, such as collaborative learning.

How the tool can be used by the teacher is they can create quizlet study sets, for students

to use to study information that the they are trying to teach them.

How the tool can be used by the student is to be able to create study sets, to study, and

see other people’s study sets, and to study them.

Some advantages of using the tool are that it is a good study tool, the layout of how it is

makes it easy to see and study information, to be able to learn new information quickly.

Description: Shmoop is a website that helps students learn information easily.

How the tool can be used by the teacher is they can get resources, communicate with

students, with announcements or discussion boards, and they can grade assignments.

How the tool can be used by the student is they can get study materials, homework help

by researching a certain thing on it, reading summaries of things, information, they can

create, share, and study flash cards, they have a quote information area, to help them do

better at their tests, and writing help, essay help.

Some advantages of using the tool are homework help, resources, and easy to understand

information.

Description: Gliffy is a website that allows people to create, share, and edit together

visual information things, such as charts. You can do collaborative learning.

 How the tool can be used by the teacher is they can create visuals and share them with

students, to share information to students, to hopefully help them learn it, by visually

seeing it, rather than just reading written text.

How the tool can be used by the student is they can create visuals. They can save their

work on this website only, so it is easy to use. They can study their notes and then make a

visual representation, of their notes, that is in a different form, to study later, possibly in

preparation for tests. They can make visuals with other students together, possibly school

work assigned, to them, by their teacher, group work. They can show data on visuals,

possibly for school work assigned to them, by their teachers. They can type comments on

visuals, possibly other students work, as critiques, possibly assigned by their teacher, to

communicate with their fellow classmates, as an assignment.

Some advantages of using the tool are being able to share visuals, and that it is easy to

make visuals, there are templates.

Description: Kahoot is a website, where students learn from doing games.

How the tool can be used by the teacher is they can create kahoots for their students to

take, to be able to get used to information.

How the tool can be used by the student is they answer questions, and they can create

kahoots themselves.

Some advantages of using the tool are that it is easy to make.
