that matter, it isimportant for the teacher to ta*e the time to observe, research
and reflect on their teaching and learning methods. 6y doing this, he'she can
improve his'her s*ills andma*e teaching and learning more fun for both themselves

model of research is thatthe teacherr is actively reflecting and exploring, the
concept of learning is theconstruction of personal meaning and that
teachers themselves are the primaryinitiators of their own developme nt.
Each wor*ing day is a new opportunity for a teacher to improve his'her
teaching abilities through observing and conducting the correct research. When
considering this particular case study six and its problem of motivatingadvanced level
students to do writing activities, 1 thin* it is important to highlight thatwriting differs in
some significant ways to do with the purpose of writing in the class andin everyday

upper$intermediatestudents. )hey are preparing to sit a 6- exam, according to

9niversity. 4ll students are either studying full$time at the 9niversity of ?a@n or have
finished university and are currentlyunemployed. )hus, the university students require
more than a 6 certificate to holdtheir university degree, while the unemployed
students require a minimum of a 6 titlefor better 7ob prospects and opportunities. )he
students all obtained the 6 2reliminaryEnglish )est ( ambridge% in ?uly -A 0 and
wish to continue improving their English tofurther their chances of good employment in
the future. &ut of the ten students, five arestudying or already are play$school
teachers, four are primary school teachers and oneis a secondary school teacher. )he
students who are currently unemployed are also
