Material analysis

For this part of our product we will use aluminized steel with fiberglass
(GFRP) coating so as to reduce the loss of heat to environment and also
keeping our final product light. Simply using stainless steel would have
made the product heavy and slightly costlier also. Aluminum mixed with
steel makes it lighter and more corrosion resistant without any
compromise with strength. Fiberglass coating will ensure that heat not
get lost to the environment and utilized properly for drying clothes.
Aluminized steel is widely used in frame, blowers, burners etc.
For this part of our product we will use titanium alloy which has the
same strength as that of stainless steel but very high degree of corrosion
resistance. Titanium is known to be 100x times more corrosion resistant
than stainless steel and aluminized steel. It will increase the life of our
product. Moreover, it can withstand extreme temperatures and is lighter
as compared to stainless steel. Using titanium alloy for this part will help
us in keeping our product lighter and durable.
For this part of our product we will use high strength low alloy steel
(HSLA) to keep the cost of our product in check. It can bear large load
and is corrosion resistance. It is 20-30% lighter than carbon steel and is
used extensively for manufacturing cars, trucks, cranes, bridges and
other structures to handle large amount of stress. It is cost effective also
and can be applied for mass production.
