RESOLUTION GRANTING ACCREDITATION TO ONE HUNDRED FORTY FIVE (145) BARANGAY HEALTH
WORKERS OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF BINALBAGAN AS RECOMMENDED BY THE LOCAL HEALTH BOARD.

WHEREAS, Section 3 of RA 7883 otherwise known as Barangay Health Workers' Benefits and Incentives
Act of 1995, states that a BHW is a person who has undergone programs from any accredited
government and non-government organization and who voluntarily renders primary health care services
in the community after having been accredited to function as such by the Local Health Board in
accordance with the guidelines promulgated by the DOH.

WHEREAS, Section 5 of RA 7883 states that in order for the BHW’s to be entitled to benefits and
incentives provided under this Act, they shall register with the Local Health Board in the City or
Municipality in which they render service.

WHEREAS, these 145 BHW’s has shown their commitment and dedication in the delivery of basic health
services in their respective community within sixteen (16) barangays of Binalbagan.

NOW THEREFORE, upon motion by Dr. Hazel C. Pagunsan, duly seconded by Mr. Ben Arnel Dela Cruz, it
was RESOLVED, as it hereby RESOLVED to grant Accreditation to One Hundred Forty Five (145) Barangay
Health Workers of Binalbagan as recommended by the BHW’s Accreditation Committee of Binalbagan
Local Health Board

RESOLVED, finally to furnish all concerned copy of the RESOLUTION for their information and guidance.

UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED.
