Objectives
This program for earth science graduates is jointly offered by the INRS – Centre Eau Terre Environnement
and the Geology and Geological Engineering Department at Université Laval. The main objective of the
program is to improve the students’ knowledge in several earth science disciplines to prepare them to tackle
interdisciplinary environmental problems in geoscience and come up with innovative solutions.
Program outline
The curriculum comprises 45 course credits. Prospective students do not need to find a professor supervisor
in order to apply to this program. However, it is recommended that they look for a professor mentor.
The program focuses on environmental technologies used in civil, chemical, geological, and soil and agri-
food engineering, and also in environmental sciences applied to soil, water, and air decontamination, waste
recycling, and pollution prevention.
Two scholarships of $7920 ($2640 per semester) are available at each institution (INRS and Université
Laval) per year. This professional program is centred on courses; hence students must ensure that they have
sufficient funds to complete the program.
