LOVE IS LOVE

Changes happen everyday in this world. 
You say we have to move on and let go, 
So what’s wrong with a girl dating a girl? 
Homosexuals are rejected with a no! 
 
I see some questions, raised in people’s eyes, 
When I take my lover’s hand into mine, 
The coldness of their gaze, and the way they pry. 
I look my lover in the eyes, and our hands intertwine. 
 
A couple I know still has to hide 
From the judging society of mankind. 
People said ‘A boy is to pair with girl.’ 
Anything else is unacceptable. 
 
But then, who is to say love is not love 
When acceptance is what we all deserve.
