COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course serves as an introduction to basic economic theory. The tools of this course should provide students with a new way of thinking
that will help you make better decisions as a consumer, businessperson, voter, and/or policy maker.

The objectives of the course are to:


• Introduce the basic tools, methods and language of economics to the students
• Apply economics ideas to a wide range of real world problems
• Develop a critical understanding of economic ideas
