FLOOR CLEANING ROBOT

Factfile

By
INTRODUCTION

• This project deals with the designing and fabrication of Floor

cleaning Machine.
• The aim of this project work is to develop and modernized pro-
cess for cleaning the floor with wet and dry.
• It is very useful for cleaning the floors. It can be used wet and
dry; hence it is widely used in houses, hospitals, auditorium,
shops, computer centers, etc.
• In modern days interior decorations are becoming an im-
portant role in our life.
• Cleaning of floor is a very important one for our health and re-
duces the man power requirement. Hence our project is very
useful in our day to day life.
OBJECTIVES
 To achive simultaneous dry and wet cleaning in a single
run.
 To make the machine cost effective.
 To reduce the maintainance cost of manually operated
floor cleaning as far as possible.
 To provide a substaintional solution is to the problem of
manufacturing cleaner utilizing local resources while
keeping it low costs.
Methodology

A number of software and hardware implementation

techniques were used to design and develop the system. Fig. 1
shows the block diagram of system. We used a 12VDC motor,
L293D IC, Different Sensors, Real Time Clock, and Arduino to
develop our system. The operation of the robotic is going to be
based on retrieving data from an array of inputs that will tell
the condition of the floor space around the vacuum as well as
wet area cleaning. These inputs include ultrasonic, humidity
sensors, and a moisture sensor. Each of these parts will be de-
scribed in further detail further on later in the documentation.
The data from these inputs will be fed into the Arduino uno
board which through its software program will decide which
direction the vacuum should move by sending the control sig-
nals out to the drive motors. Arduino1 gives a commands from
8,9,10 and 12 pin to the 7,8,12,13 pins of the arduino2.
ADVANTAGES
 Operating time is less.
 It consumes less cleaning liquid.
 Easy fabrication.
 Maintenance cost is low.
 Easy control of cleaning solution of supply.
 It can be used in various floor .

LIMITATIONS
 Its Required Dc Power source which may increases the
cost of project.

APPLICATIONS
 Hospitals
 Computer Centers.
 School and colleges.
 Large scale industries.
 Commercial complexes.
Corporate offices.
Conclusion
 A cheaper and user friendly wet Cleaner robot can be
developed with two different mode of controlling (Man-
ual and Autonomous mode) using an Arduino Board
with more electronics functionality. Battery monitoring,
lighter body weight and to set alarm on/off time manu-
ally are the future scope of this project.
