SCOTT HARKNESS

PERSONAL STATEMENT

I am a science educator at the high school level that focuses on building technology enhanced,
student-centred learning environments to increase student achievement. I am able to build
strong relationships with both staff and students which leads to a positive atmosphere for
learning. My energetic personality, and love of science, allows me to make connections with
students which increases engagement and promotes their own love of science.

Successfully completed a Masters Degree in Educational technology. Courses focused on
theoretical frameworks, learning theories, and pedagogical approaches through the lens of
educational technology
