It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation in favor of Jayden Beckermann. As the visual arts
teacher at Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton Middle School, I was fortunate to have Jayden in my classroom for 10
weeks in the fall of 2016 as part of his 60-hour practicum experience. Jayden’s friendly attitude and passion for
art helped students feel comfortable and supported in the classroom. In addition, his adaptability and strong
reflective nature will allow him to continue to grow and develop as an art educator.

Jayden’s thoughtful and empathetic disposition helped create a positive, student-centered classroom
atmosphere. I was impressed with his patience and ability to see the best in students, always gently encouraging
them to learn from setbacks and grow as artists. He would refuse to let students give up on a challenging task.
Jayden also made efforts to incorporate technology into the classroom, creating tutorial videos to teach paper-
mache processes that allowed students to interact with classroom demonstrations more readily.

Jayden’s strongest attributes are his ability to be self-reflective and welcome constructive criticism. He would
seek feedback on his performance and make adjustments immediately to better his pedagogy and content. His
persistence and willingness to change will allow him to grow and strengthen his abilities as an educator.

Jayden was a wonderful and helpful presence in my room, and I believe that his enthusiasm, passion for art, and
kindness would be a great asset to any school community. Please do not hesitate to contact me for further
