Biblical Text : 2 Corinthian 6:14-18
Title : THE MISSION

2Co 6:14 Be not unequally yoked with unbelievers: for what fellowship have
righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion hath light with darkness?
2Co 6:15 and what concord hath Christ with Belial? Or what portion hath a believer with
an unbeliever?
2Co 6:16 and what agreement hath a temple of God with idols? for we are a temple of
the living God; even as God said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be
their God, and they shall be my people.
2Co 6:17 Wherefore Come ye out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the
Lord, And touch no unclean thing; And I will receive you,
2Co 6:18 and will be to you a Father, And ye shall be to me sons and daughters, saith
the Lord Almighty...

Introduction:
Good morning Philippines, how your day today/ how about for tomorrow?
Is in it, the weather today is very humid, it strikes my suit because of the climate
change. How about faith change?
Who are the believers of today? Who are not? Are you a believers? How is the
real mission of Christ in this place?
Let us pray.

Prayer:
Father God in heaven, we seek your Presence for the guidance and wisdom that
we need in this hour or worship. By letting you to use me as an instruments of
preaching your word, may you grant our prayer in Jesus name. Amen.

Do not keep company with those who have not faith: this is another version of the text
we have I this morning. We shall not in the premises of those we are in the same faith.
Then we shall be in the in touch with them.
Then, how it will work in the missioning relationship? Who are the one who will share

the good news to them? Who will bringing Christ to them? If someone will not, who is
the one will be the missionary to those unbelievers?

Separating the unbeliever to believer is an acts of hypocrisy, as a believers of Christ I

must be with to share what God is doing in my life. This the moment to ensure the
mission of God was practiced by his followers and people. They need someone will
bring Christ in the land of those need the Lord. This statement of faith determine the
deepness of faith and will bring works of piety to them.

This text determine the people who in Christ shall not have relationship to those who
are not in Christ. If this will run in the community of faith, who be send to them? Who will
take care to them if we are not?

We must do something to draw them near to the Lord and let them experienced the
love of God to his people.

People in the darkness need the light of the Lord, the people have light of the Lord Take
place to shine in the midst of the darkness in reality there is no such darkness.
Darkness defines only in the absence of light. That why we do believers to shine our
light to those dim lighted and be a shining light Jesus in their life. It is our responsibility
to be with them as a guide to the Lord Jesus and shall be a part of salvific ways of
GOD, we are His partners in the Mission of God.

Is there anyone in your family was in darkness? Or you don’t have the light to bring to
them? This is the moment to rekindle your fire to en-touch them and re heat their faith to
the Lord Jesus.

The text is a challenges for us whom know who is Christ in our life, the factor of trial is
that how we can reach them without letting go our faith or without losing what we had
already.
The warning of the text is when we getting close to them is also to adapt what they are
doing. We are the one who’s defeated, but they must the one who will enlighten by the
word of the Lord Jesus Christ.
This is the task of every faithful believer to bear fruit by sharing their life experiences to
those in need and faithless person.

The church was built to seek the lost one, the church is not for the saint but for those
sinners wants to change their life and draw near to the cross of the Lord Jesus.
Now a days there are missed leading program of the church, the true mission was set
aside for the reason of some members that they are not welcome in the church. But

what is the mission of the mission. This passage took place and make some changes in
the program of the church.

The mission and vision must re align to the need of the people who lost. Being a good
shepherd like Jesus, the search for those in need the main stream of mission point.
If this is the case, we shall in the company of those unbelievers to share the Gospel and
be a good shepherd.

The Pharisees always question the act of Jesus that he always I eat and drink with the
tax collector and sinners. In this area of ministry of Jesus, he proclaim the gospel to
those really in the darkness shall be in the light.

If we question the mission point to the place of unbelievers we are like the Pharisees
and scribes that deals in questioning the act of mercy of the Lord Jesus.

Lastly, do you are fully grown in your faith? Then if yes, the Theme for this coming
Quadrennial stated “Therefore Go”. After all the trainings and seminar. It is the time to
be send in the market place for the search of the lost sheep and may we regain them in
the vineyard of the Lord Jesus.
