3. All requirements’ must be submitted to West Bay College on or before February 18,
2019. The dance group will only be proclaimed as an official contestant of the dance
competition upon submission of complete requirements.
4. The dance piece can be composed of any street dance genre- ethnic, jazz, breakdance,
hip hop, contemporary etc. or combination of any.
5. Each group will be given an allotted time of a minimum of 5 minutes and a maximum of
seven minutes. There will be a one point deduction in the total score of every judge for
every 30 seconds exceeding the maximum allotted time of the performance.
6. Dangerous acrobatic, stunts and flying is not allowed during the entire performance
however tumbling and back dive is allowed but in minimization.
7. All songs used in the performance piece must be appropriate and suitable for any age.
Foul taste in music such as profanity will result in disqualification.
8. Use of props will be allowed as long as it will not cause delay in the program and those
that may harm the performance of other groups. Props such as oil, confetti, fire, broken
glass, live animals, and sharp objects are highly prohibited
10. Any infractions of the above stated contest mechanics will result for disqualification
11. A ranking system is use in the selection of winners. In case of tie point system will be
used with the approval of the Chairman of the board of judges
PRIZES
Winners of the #Danza-23 will be receiving:
Champion -------------- Php 8, 000.00 + trophy + certificate
1st Runner-up---------- Php 5,000.00 + trophy + certificate
2nd Runner-up --------- Php 3,000.00 + trophy + certificate
