Transport Policy can be found on the Ministry of
Communications website, www.moc.gov.bd

The National Land Transport Policy was approved by the


Cabinet on 26th April 2004.

In case of any difference in meaning between the Bengali


and English versions the Bengali will always take
precedence.

The Purpose of this document is to achieve a wider


dissemination of the Policy, particularly amongst the
international community involved in the transport sector
in Bangladesh.

The Ministry of Communications of the Government of Bangladesh does not accept


responsibility for any errors or omissions in this document.

Transport Policy has been formulated in the

environment friendly and acceptable in the light

Policy has been prepared for a long term vision

increasing demand. Much used old vehicles and

absence of appropriate maintenance

the right to regulate fares to protect the interests
