RTD PIPE STAND FOR COMBINATION POWER CONNECTION BOX AND ELECTRONIC
CONTROLLER INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
DESCRIPTION
The Raychem JB-RTD-STAND is a combination power connection
JB-RTD-STAND with box and RTD entry for and electronic controller. The JB-RTD-STAND
Raychem heating cable is designed for use with Raychem Electronic controllers housed in a
Type 4X enclosure. It is designed for use only with Raychem BTV-CR,
BTV-CT, QTVR-CT, XTV-CT, VPL-CT, and KTC-CT heating cables in
hazardous locations.
These kits may be installed at temperatures as low as −40°F (−40°C).
For easier installation store above freezing until just before installation.

TOOLS REQUIRED
• Wire cutters • Pliers or adjustable wrench
• Utility knife • Large slotted screwdriver
• Needle nose pliers • Small slotted screwdriver
• Wire stripper (for VPL-CT)

ADDITIONAL MATERIALS REQUIRED


• Pipe strap
• GT-66 or GS-54 fiberglass tape
• AT-180 aluminum tape
• Small pipe adapter (for 1 in (25 mm) and smaller pipes)
