I. Overview of Matrix Switching/Microcomputer Controlling System
Matrix switching/microcomputer controlling system is a CCTV monitoring system device featuring several video inputs,
several video outputs and several keyboard controlling points. In addition, the device may also equip with several audio inputs,
outputs and several alarming controlling.

The general devices of matrix monitoring system include video matrix host, audio matrix host, controlling keyboard,
multimedia system, monitor, camera, decoder, cradle head, code converter, high speed dome camera, audiomonitor, alarming
host, alarming camera and DVR. The setup is subject to the actual conditions of the system.

Note: Matrix switching/microcomputer controlling system host is usually called as Matrix Host for short.

SYSTEM KEYBOARD

The matrix host is connected to the code adapter by the shielded twister-wire. If the connection is correct, the green CODE
indicator on the code adapter shall blink. If the green indicator doesn’t blink, change the connection polarities of the controlling
wires.
The dial switch of code adapter selects the controlling protocol of high speed dome camera, the protocol should be consistent to
the type.

The matrix host is connected to the multimedia system controller by the shielded twister-wire. If the connection is correct, the
green CODE indicator on the multimedia system controller shall blink. If the green indicator doesn’t blink, change the
connection polarities of the controlling wires. The controller of multimedia monitor system and the computer are RS-232
controlling mode, and they are connected by three-core wire.
The dial switch of multimedia monitor system controller sets up the address of the controller, and the address of each controller
is different each other and also different from the address of keyboard.
The communication port of multimedia monitor software should be set up appropriately, the communication baud rate is
advised to select 9600bps.

indicator on the DVR connector shall blink. If the green indicator doesn’t blink, change the connection polarities of the
controlling wires. DVR connector and the computer are RS-232 controlling mode, and they are connected by three-core wire.
The dial switch of DVR connector sets up the address of the controller, and the address of each controller is different each other
and also different from the address of keyboard. The range of DVR controlling the camera shall be changed if the setup of dial
switch is changed.

The address switch of the alarm controller should be set up appropriately and then it could be used, each alarm controller could
process 8-call alarm contacts at most.
