WEARABLE ART “Wear art on your sleeve, literally”

Theme: Open

No. of participants: 3

Basic Rules:
-The event will comprise of 1 Round.
-Participants must report 30 minutes prior.
-Materials should be arranged by the
participants.
-The participants have to design an
accessory or a garment which is wearable.
-Use of obscene, disrespectful imagery
implications is strictly prohibited.
-Overstepping moral, social or religious
boundaries will not be accepted.
-An abstract of 50 words to depict the
product/ garment on the basis of your
depiction, should be submitted.

Time limit: 3 hour

3D TYPOGRAPHY
“It’s never too late to create your own !”

Theme: Wastage of Food

Basic Rules:
- The participants will have to pick up a word
and depict it in 3D form.
-The word chosen should be relevant to theme.
- Participants will be provided with 2 ivory
sheets and 3 newspaper leaves.
- All the other stationary has to be arranged by
the participant.
- Participants should report 30 minutes prior to
the commencement of the event.
- Vulgarity and offensive content are strictly
prohibited.

Time limit: 1 hour 30 mins.

FLASH MEME MAKING “Keep Calm and Troll”

Theme: On the spot

Basic Rules:
-This will be an on-the-spot event.
- Participants will be shown 5 images
and they will have to make a meme
using them.
- The meme can be hand illustrated or
digital.
- Participants will be provided with an
A4 sheet. Those who want to make
hand illustrated should bring all the
stationary materials.
-Language should be Hindi or English.
- The content should be original and not
copied from anywhere else.
- Participants should report 30 minutes
prior to the commencement of the
event.
- Vulgarity and offensive content are
strictly prohibited.

Judgement criteria: The entries will be


judged on 40% of the number of likes it
gets on official Spectrum page and 60%
of the judge’s marks.

Basic Rules:
- The Ad must be a TV commercial necessarily
comprising of a self-composed jingle.

- 30 minutes preparation time will be given.
-Teams will have to arrange all the props and
other requirements if any, within the given time
period.
-The advertisement has to be enacted by the
contestants either in English or Hindi.
- Participants should report 1 hour prior to the
commencement of the event.
-Use of obscene, disrespectful imagery
implications is strictly prohibited.
-Students may use their props if required

club member.

SUDOKU “Is your logic “impeccable”?”

Basic Rules:
The event will comprise of two rounds.
- Round 1: Beginners; Time: - 10 Min
- It requires solving the problem within 15
minutes.
- If not completed on time then the evalua-
tion will be based on total correct filling.
- 50% of contestant will qualify for next
round.
- Each correct filling have +1 point and there
is no negative marking.
- In the case of tie, the earlier finish will be
taken into account.
- Round 2: Genius; Time :- 15 Min
- It requires solving the problem within the
time.
- If not completed on time then the evalua-
tion will be based on total correct filling.
- Each correct filling have +1 point and there
is no (–)ve marking.
- In the case of tie, the earlier finish will be

against the motion
the speaker will start off speaking for the
motion and when the moderator says
block the speaker needs to reverse the

Basic Rules:

participant.
- The winner will be declared by the evaluation
panel of judges.

Basic Rules:
-The event will comprise of 1 Round.
-Students are allowed to bring along one
accompanying instrumentalist with them.
Only vocals shall be judged, however.
-If Karaoke is required, it should be
submitted 1 hour before-hand only on the
registration desk, after that they would
not be permitted

performance + 1 minute for setup

“Own the aisle”
Theme: Reel or real?
TV series is the next cool thing, isn’t it? And what can
be cooler to be dressed up like one? Take the avatar of
your favourite TV series character and show us what
you’ve got.

Basic Rules:
-The event will comprise of 2 Rounds.
Round 1: Mystery box
Both the participants are requested to report at the
registration desk at 11:15pm
The participants will have to make a 3d model,
materials will be given on spot
Usage of extra material will lead to disqualification.
Round 2: Introduction and Talent Round
-Both participants after introduction have to display a
collaborative/group talent on stage.
-Please note that this is a couple events, NOT individual
-Both participants will be evaluated on their individual
style quotient.

RAPID FIRE
“How rapid can you fire a song?”

Basic Rules:
-The event will comprise of several
rounds
-The song which has already been
sung should not be repeated.
-The opposite team will sing
maximum twice until which the other
team has to start singing.
-Participants must report at the
venue 30 minutes prior to the
commencement of the event to avoid
penalization.
-The winner will be decided based on
the final score.

BADMINTON “How well is your hand-eye co’ordination?”
Basic Rules:
- All matches are best of 3 sets of 11 points each.
-The finals will be best of 5 sets of 21 rally points
each.
-In case of Deuce in regular sets a difference of 2
points maximum up to 13 points will be played and
the team scoring 13 points first, will be declared
winners.
-In case of Deuce, in the deciding set a difference of
2 points should be scored compulsorily to win the
match.
- A serve is delivered diagonally across the courts.
During service, both the server and receiver must
stand at diagonally opposite sides without touching
the boundary lines of the badminton courts.
-Players/teams will switch sides on the court at the
end of every game.
-Servicing while foot touching any line on the court of
the server will be considered foul.
-Service has to be done below waist level, else oppo-
nent gets the point.
-At the beginning of the game and when the score is
even, the server serves from the right service court.
When it is odd, the server serves from the left court.
-Players to carry their own badminton rackets.
-Further rules will be based on WBF (World Badmin-
ton Federation).
-Decision of coordinator will be final.

TABLE TENNIS “Hit it to win it”

Basic Rules:
-All matches for boys’ singles, girls’ singles,
boys’ doubles, and girls’ doubles are best of
3 sets of 11 points each. For finals, there will
be 5 sets of 21 points each.
-In case of Deuce in regular sets a difference
of 2 points maximum up to 13 and 23 points
will be played and the team scoring 13 and
23 points first will be declared winners.
-In case of Deuce in the deciding set a
difference of 2 points should be scored
compulsorily to win the match.
-The ball must rest on an open hand palm.
Then it must be tossed up at least 6 inches
and struck so the ball first bounces on the
server’s side and then the opponent’s side.
-If the serve is legal except that it touches
the net, it is called a let serve. Let serves are
not scored and are reserved.
-Students to carry there own table tennis
rackets.
-Further rules will be based on IITF
(International Table Tennis Federation).
-Decision of the coordinator will be final.

CHESS “Every move counts”

Basic Rules:
-Fixtures wil be declared on the day of
registration.
-Maximum of 10 min per game.
-Touch and move rule will be followed.
-Maximum of 3 illegal moves will be
allowed. -50 moves will be allowed if
King is the last chess piece left from the
board.
-If match ends up in a tie, then piece
count will declare the winner.
-Organizers will provide Chess Board
and Chess coins.
-All other rules as per FIDE ( World
Chess Federation).
-Decision of the coordinator will be final.

CARROM “Aim well and grab the queen”

Basic Rules:
- Fixtures wil be declared on the day of
registration.
-The game will be of one board.
-Maximum of 10 min per game.
-Thumbing / Back Stroke is not allowed.
-The player who breaks, attains white.
-If the player touches opponents coin before
his/her own, penalty of one coin will be
allotted to the opponent.
-After pocketing red coin, the player must
cover it with one more of his/her coin.
-All other rules as per ICF (International
Carrom Federation).
-Decision of coordinators will be final

PHOTOGRAPHY “Freeze the moment”

Theme: Pride in the moment

Basic Rules:
-Seize the delightful moment in a click to
capture the aura, people, feeling, stories
through your snap.
-The event is open for both mobile
photography and DSLR photography. You
can use any one of the them.
-A narrative of 150 words has to
complement the Photograph.
-Pictures have to be submitted in A4 prints
properly mounted.
-The name of the participant and the
caption should be there in the front .
-Note: All the materials e.g. Camera,
Mountboard, Adhesives etc have to be
arranged by Participants, however only
display boards will be provided.
-The photographs taken should be captured
within the event, Spectrum’19

PHOTOSERIES “Let your photos tell a story”

Theme: Alphabets in Nature

Basic Rules:
-Participants have to pick up a word and
find relevant shapes in their surroundings
to make a series of photographs that
together make the chosen word.
-The event is open for DSLR photography
only.
-A narrative of 150 words has to
complement the Photograph.
-Pictures have to be submitted in A4 prints
properly mounted.
-The name of the participant and the
caption should be there in the front
-Note: All the materials e.g. Camera,
Mountboard, Adhesives etc have to be
arranged by Participants, only display
boards will be provided.
-The photographs taken should be
captured within the campus.
