Developing the Reading skill to ESL Learners

Reading is an interactive, problem-solving process of making meaning from texts. Reading is

formed as a cognitive process that has to do with putting clear special signs to get done a value.

Reading is an action-bound process of building, is of words. Reading with the purpose helps the

reader to increase the knowledge in the target and give all attention to reading. Although the

reasons for reading are different from, the main purpose of reading is to get through knowledge

the teaching book. Reading is a process of giving back again. Reading is important for the child's

a good outcome. Very frequently, the obstacles faced by children with hard reading have more

weight than their reading desires and never overcome them without right opinion.

Currently, reading is not important for learners. The student doesn't focus on reading skill. In this

era, we are all busy in our daily life. We have smartphones, tablets, laptops but we are not focusing

on our reading skill but the question is that why we are avoiding reading beside this we want to

improve our speaking skill but we don't focus on reading. What're the circumstances behind the

neglecting of reading skill? So if we see around us so many things show why we don't focus on

reading. The major problem of neglecting reading because of our school system, our teachers who

don't develop reading skill in a child. Teachers just try to cover up the courses and do not let

students take into the reading side.

ESL students don’t try to read books, articles, magazine etc. because the teachers, they don’t take

students in reading and don’t do the things to make an interest in reading skill. Reading skill is

important throughout our all life. A teacher is the main role model for students. If teachers give
different novels, short story to the students and make them interesting than the student will

definitely read and their reading skills will develop. Teachers have given a strong impact on

students mind. Their behavior, their attitude, all give effect on students. A teacher should take

students to the library for reading. Other than the teacher, a school has a major part of a student's

life. School management should open a library corner for the students where students can easily

go and read the books of their desire so in this way school management can improve and develop

the reading skills to ESL learner. The government should take an action to open a library in schools

for developing reading skills. The government can facilitate the students to develop their reading

skills at a school level.

Besides teachers, the most important human on student's life is their parents. Parents are the most

influenced people in the life of a child, child behavior and attitude shows the influence of their

parents. Parents are an important part of a student. We see that if their parents will have an interest

in reading so their children will also have an interest in reading. If their parents don't have any

interest in reading and if they are not a daily reader so they cannot expect these things from their

children that they do read on daily basis. Beside this parents should buy any interesting book for

their children and give it to them so they can develop reading skills. Parents should give a perfect

place in the house like a small library or common room. Parents should discuss book what they

read about the story so in this way a child can enhance their reading skills. Parents allow a child

to read books of their own choice. Parents should take their child to the local library for developing

their interest in reading. So in this way, they can develop reading skills.

In the end, the one person who can develop reading skills is a student themselves. Students are

responsible, creative and motivate, students can motivate themselves to read and developing their

reading skills. If the students don't want to improve their reading skills, no one can develop the
reading skills of the students. A student should realize that developing reading skills is very

important for ESL learners. If they want to survive in this world so they should focus on to develop

their reading skills. A student should read publications, articles, newspapers, and books for

developing reading skills.

To conclude, the main objective of the development of reading for ESL students, teacher,

government and parents are important to develop their reading skills. I can say that reading is very

important for ESL learner without developing reading skills. They cannot achieve goals in life so

we should focus on the development of reading skills so we can be successful in life.
