Voice over: St. Paul University Dumaguete was founded on October 29, 1904.

It was
called St. Paul’s Academy. It was a school for elementary students situated near the
cathedral. As years passed, SPUD started offering Elementary, High School and
College departments. And it was then called St. Paul University Dumaguete, officially
recognized by Commission on Higher Education Philippines and its other specialized
and programmatic accreditations, PAASCU and PACUCOA. Aside from local
accreditation, St. Paul University Dumaguete in response to the call of changing times
took the risk and applied for ISO Certification through TUV from 2000 until 2012 and
SGS from 2012 to the present. During 2015, St. Paul University Dumaguete granted
ISO 9001 recertification. St. Paul University Dumaguete is the only ISO certified
academic institution in Negros Oriental.
The University has 3 colleges; the college of business and information technology, the
college of nursing, and lastly, the college of arts and education.
John Paul: Under the College of Business and Information Technology are,
Accountancy, Management Accounting, and Accounting Technology Program, Business
Administration and Entrepreneurial Program, Hotel and Restaurant and Tourism
Management Program and Information and Technology Program.
Daeleen: CBIT graduates are trained to exhibit mastery of the fundamental knowledge,
skills, values, ethics and attitudes that enable them to continue to learn and adapt to
change throughout their professional lives.
Ness: In the college of Nursing, it designs excellent programs for the nursing graduates
to ensure quality services preparing the takers to pass the Philippine Nurses Licensure
Examination in just one take. Performance is the very manifestation that the college of
nursing offers effective review program as evidenced by the consecutive results of
100% passing rate each year.
Aira: Under the College of Arts and Education Department takes root from one of the
oldest college courses offered in St. Paul- the Two-Year Junior Normal College course.
As early as 1940’s, St. Paul Academy has already been developing future teachers and
throughout the years, many of our graduates have soared successfully in the world of
academe.
Bembem: SPUD also offers elementary education, basic education which comprises
Junior High School and Senior High School. Senior High School started during 2016
when the K to 12 curriculum implemented in the Philippines. The SHS offers academic
tracks such as STEM, ABM and GAS while in TechVoc tracks are ICT and Home
Economics.
Rhumar: And lastly, graduate school which offers MAED and Ed.D for Arts and
Education, DBA and MBA for Business Administration, DPA and MPA for Public
Administration, MAN and MSN for Nursing, and the new offered courses, MSES and
MBA-HTTM.
