Introduction:
The sphere is made from 12 equal parts, which are attached to the previous ones
in the last row.

Step 1
Use a 2 ft long piece of thread. Pick up one round bead. The string 1R11, 1
double hole bead, repeat 3more times and finally add one R11. Stitch again
through the round bead, so the beads build a half circle around the large bead.
Weave another time through the beads of the circle, the thread exits from the
round bead.

Step 2
Again pick up 1R11, 1 double hole bead, in a change 4 times and finally one R11.
Again weave through the round bead and another time through the beads of
this circle. At the end the thread should exit in the middle of 2R11.

Step 3
Weave along the beads of the circle and add two times one double hole bead in
the gaps between the 2R11. Exit from a R11.

Step 4
Pick up 3R15, skip the double hole bead and weave through the following R11.
Repeat another 9 times until the circle is finished. At the end exit from the
second of 3 R15.

Step 5
Pick up 1R11, weave through the 2nd R15 of the next group of three. Repeat
another 9 times until the circle is finished. Pull the thread properly.

Step 6:
Weave another time through the beads added in the last row (skip the R15 in
between).

6

Step 7
Pick up 2R15, 1R11, 2R15, skip one R11 and stitch through the next one. Repeat
another 4 times to complete the row. At the end exit from the R11 of the first arc.

7

Step 8
We have built 5 arcs from each 2R15, 1R11, 2R15. The R11 of these arcs have a
violet frame in the drawing. They are related to one pair of double hole beads.
Starting from a R11 (violet frame) you pick up 5R11, stitch in a circle through the
outer hole of the first double hole bead, pick up one bicone bead, stitch through
the next double hole bead, pick up 5R11 and weave again through the bead
where the step started. Stitch forward and exit from the R11 of the next arc.

Step 9
Again pick up 5R11, stitch in a circle through the outer hole of the next double
hole bead, pick up one bicone bead, weave through the next double hole bead,
pick up 1R11, weave through the 2nd and 3rd R11 of the adjacent arc 8of the
previous step) add 2R11 and stitch again through the R11 where this step
started. The new added beads are shown with a blue frame in the drawing.

9

Step 10
Go on building two more of these circles, the 5th circle will attach the fourth and
the first. At the end again exit from the R11 (violet frame).

10

Step11
Pick up 1R15, 3R11, 1R15 and weave through the R11 of the next arc. Repeat
another 4 times to complete the row.
These beads build the attachment positions with the following units. Weave at
least two times through the beads of this row to secure the thread and cut it off.
You can simply cut of the tail without securing it any further.

11

Step 12
Build another uint like shown up to step 10. In step 11, on one side, you pick up
1R15, weave through the 3R11 of one side of the adjacent unit, pick up 1R15
(instead of picking up 1R15, 3R11, 1R15) and go on beading like shown in
step 11.

12

Build one unit after the other until you have a total of 12. Attach them with their
sides to the previous ones like shown in step 12.

You can simply string the sphere on a leather chord or a head pin.
