CHAPTER I

INTRODUCTION

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

JAB merchandise is a came from the name of owners which is Mr. Jessie A.
Badillo and Mrs. Josephine A. Badillo. The year 2000 before the company was
born the owner Jessie is once a delivery job of LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas).
After the years of hard work the owner is able to afford a small business base
from his previous work in 2003 and after many years a small business becomes
a company in 2009 with many branches. As of now the company is growing
because the LPG is common for every day used the owner is able to afford more
branches to different places like in antipolo,pinugay and pagrai branches.

The advantages of our system the company is currently using the manual
cash management system with our proposed system is help the company to
reductions in labor and improve accuracy because our propose cash
management system is automatically calculating data and saves a lot of time. It
increases the loss-prevention and improves security. The system is automating
cash processes which is gives the company the freedom to operate to its full
potential because its user friendly system.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

This study attempts to develop an Cash management system for JAB

general merchandise. It seeks to give a solution to the following problems
encountered:

1. Kickbacks
2. Inaccurate cash inventory
3. Lack of security.
4. Unnecessary expenses
5. Inaccurate income targets
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
Time efficiency, using the cash management system will streamline your
payment process. Minimizing the time spent on authorization and initiation of
payments
Reduce Costs, the clarity and complete information. Allow you to immediately
detect the cost of expensive.
Reduce Errors, By mapping your corporate processes and digitizing your
workflow processes accordingly you remove the “guesswork” and directly
minimize the potential for human errors.

inefficiencies and optimization opportunities, such as historic cash flow and
balances volumes.
Tracks the company budgets, It is able to effectively monitor your cash flows
and incoming incomes by specific of time.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

This study is so significant because it could offer benefits to the following

groups and aspects:

1. to the Company, the beneficial JAB general merchandise is to develop their

Cash management system which is used for easier and faster cash transaction
but also for the record management of their transactions. We developed a
system that will provide the Company to well manage and will do the faster and
efficient way for their transactions on cash managements.

2. to the Future Researcher, It will give an idea about how to handle an online
ordering system and how to effectively transactions because the past transaction
can help the future researchers to readily come up with better ideas than we did.

3. to the other company workers, the benefits of worker in this system is to

know their exactly income to the specific time

4.To The Staff Cashier, the benefits of cashier is to manage the income and
expenses more quickly and to monitor all cash flow

5. to the Proponents-Benefits of System, if our system is fully efficient and

work properly it will pass our school subject System analysis and design and help
the team for the future research.
SCOPE AND DELIMITATION

Scope

Cash management system will be a offline application whose main language of

programming will be visualbasic.net Its main aim is to simplify and improve the
efficiency of the cash management process for both customer and company,
minimize manual data entry and ensure cash management accuracy.

Delimitation

The proposed system is also has its limitation. The system is only for cash
management cash management and for only cash transactions only. The type of
this system is offline because it’s for security purpose. No other function can only
be done aside from monitoring of cash flows and add of transaction.
