CONCLUSIONS:

1. The trend in the number of transgenic crops planted between 1996 and 2009 is increasing.

2. Rate of increase = change in value/change in time.


Rate of increase = (134 – 1.7)/13
Rate of increase = 10.18%

3. The two transgenic crops that make the most of the genetically altered crops grown around in
the word are Corn and Soybeans.

4. Corn: (41.08/158)x100% = 26%


Soybeans: (69.30/90)x100% = 77%
Cotton: (16.17/33)x100% = 49%
Canola: (6.51/31)x100% = 21%
