relate to the movie.

 Using Horns to blend the strings. Glue for the strings. Horns in low
dynamics, the idea is not to heard the horns, but to glue the strings. For
this we must have a traditional use of Horns: Close position, close to
each other. With you have brasses with high dynamics the becomes a
complete different instrument. Must be piano to blend with other
instruments.
 Trombones: Harmonies in open position. Will help create a “Big
Hollywood sound”. Then, Strings can all do the melody at unison. We can
also add the Horns as discussed before. We could even double the
melody with some woodwinds to provide some color variety.
 You don’t need to necessarily write breaths for horns. (Unless is a solo
horn) specially in harmonics passages. In melodies you could use some
breaths.
 CC1 is dynamics in all brass.

 Bounde in place: Turn midi into audio, so you can then process it.
 Reverse: You can reverse the whole region or just a single note. File -
>Edit-> Reverse. (Destructive). Can also be done in the region inspector
(Non destructive)
 Automation: (A) Latch mode: When you don’t touch something it just
remains in the same places. (First time doing automation) Touch mode:
When you don’t touch something the value comeback to its original
position. (Changing something you already did).
 Cmd + L: Learn mode. You can map anything to a Knob or fader. Move
what you want to map and the cmd+L and move the Knob.
 Ctrl Shift R: Send all tracks to read mode. You can map (program) that to
a button. It is important that you return always to Read mode. It is also
useful to program the “Send all tracks to latch mode” and “Send all
tracks to Touch mode”.
 Write down everything you map or program.
 Useful idea: Program a Knob for a low pass or high pass filter. Also the
amount of Delay or distortion.
 Room reverb: To make an instrument feel further. (Short)
 Hall reverb: recreates a concert hall. (Large)
 Crazy Reverbs: Space Designer-> Warped effects. Works well with a Pre
Fader send. It’ll send signal even if the fader is all the way down. You can
work only with the reverb. (try this!) You can do this with a stereo Delay,
and the automate some parameters inside of the delay plugin.
