It is with absolute certainty that I would recommend Sage Barnes for the summer program at Brown University. Sage is
one of the most articulate, genuine, intelligent and talented individuals that I have been graced to work with. Sage has a
passion for learning that far exceeds many of her peers. As a child of educators, Sage has a deep respect and appreciation
for education and her excitement when it comes to furthering her education is just palpable.

Sage has earned accolades in and out of the classroom setting. She has a variety of interests and passions and she truly
gives 100% to any activity she participates in. Whether in one of her Advanced Placement classes, on the stage in a
musical performance, or planning for a school trip to Iceland during April vacation, Sage manages her time, produces
quality work, and consistently rises to the occasion. Sage is one of the top performers in our high school - both
academically and in the Choir and Theater department.

Last summer, Sage participated in the summer program at Harvard University for high school students. This experience
motivated Sage to continue to look for future opportunities within the collegiate setting. Sage continues to set goals for
herself and is always open to new experiences that will allow her opportunities for growth, both academically and socially.
What is not evident from looking at the transcript, is the fact that Sage is humble, personable, compassionate, and kind.
Sage has proven that with a bit of perseverance, grit, and effort, one can accomplish any goal in their sight. She is truly a
model student who provides quality contributions to classroom discussions and is open to ideas and feedback to further
her development.

Sage would be an asset to any summer program or course that she participates in. Her desire to try new experiences,
engage in learning opportunities, and grow as a student are admirable qualities. The passion that Sage has for knowledge
is a remarkable trait and will serve her well as she continues with her education.
