TUTORIAL
Cutscene showing electrical energy passing to a socket.
Title sequence and zoom out to show a neon light at the
bedside of a child. Zoom into the wire. We see the
character standing idle on a set of copper wires.
After this the voice over takes the player through the
various mechanics and parts of the game.

VOICE OVER
Welcome to…ENRGY. This tutorial will help
ease you into the game. (or) Let me help
you get started.

Energy Bar appears

VOICE OVER
This is your energy bar. This will
indicate if your energy is going down.
However, energy cannot be created or
destroyed, so in this game, the bar will
remain full.

Energy type symbol appears.

VOICE OVER
This is your energy type indicator. The
icon in the corner shows you what form of
energy you are. Your beginning character
will be ELECTRICAL energy.

Character begins to glow.

2
VOICE OVER
The free electrons within the wired
platforms will transfer your energy type
effectively along. Metals are the best
conductors for your type of energy.

Zoom in to wires. Shows the electrons within the wires and

how the electricity is conducted.

VOICE OVER
Tutorial over. Good luck.

END of Act 1 VOICE OVER.

CHOOSING A PATH
This is where the player can choose the path of LIGHT or
THERMAL energy. LIGHT energy glows.
VOICE OVER
You have the choice of two paths. You may
pick light, the useful energy type in this
transfer and the fastest energy form.
Travelling at 3x108m/s in a vacuum,
nothing can travel faster than light. This
level will be the darkest so be careful.
It’s your task to illuminate the
nightlight.
THERMAL energy glows.
VOICE OVER
Or pick the path of THERMAL Energy. Much
like ELECTRICAL energy, metals are the
best conductors for this form of energy.
THERMAL energy contains more energy than
LIGHT. However, this energy type is a
wasted and is not useful. Heat transfer is

3
slower than electrical or light transfer,
so this character is a lot slower. So
which path will you pick? LIGHT or
THERMAL?
