GUIDELINES FOR GAMES : TEAM (CORPORATE)

You are invited for Coast Guard Fitness Challenge on 27 Jan 19 at VIT Campus,
Chennai. The competition is mainly designed to test your physical and mental
strength. You will be competing in the Zone-1 (Mariners Challenge) & Zone-2 (Fitness
Challenge) at the time slots assigned to you. The sports events available at the venue
are designed in quick format. Your timeline is as follows:

(a) TIME OF REPORTING : 0800 Hrs

(b) EVENT SLOT : Zone-1 (0830-0930 Hrs)
First five teams will be selected to
compete in finals.
Zone-2 (0930-1030 Hrs)
First five teams will be selected to
compete in finals.
(c) Zone-3 (0945 onwards): There are four games in Zone-3 for teams to
participate apart from Decathlon experience zone. Your participation in Zone-3
will commence form 0945 hrs. The rules for the Zone-3 are as follows:-

 All games will be played by same 5 member team who participated

in Fitness Challenge and Mariner Challenge.
 All games will be conducted in knock out format.
 Football:-
 Game duration – 12 mins.
 No side change.
 The team who scores maximum goal within 12 mins, will
be declared as a winner and qualify for next round.
 In case of tie, winner will be decided by toss.
 Volleyball:-
 Game duration – 11 points.
 No side change.
 The team which reaches score of 11 points first, will be
declared as a winner and qualify for next round.
 Cricket:-
 The match will be played in chucking format of 3 overs
per side.
 In case of tie, winner will be decided by toss.
 Basketball:-
 Game duration – 12 mins.
 No side change.
 The team which is score maximum baskets within 12 mins,
team will be declared as a winner and qualify for next
round.
 In case of tie, winner will be decided by toss.

The team knocked out in any of the sport has the option to register/compete in
any other sports subject to availability of slots. The final for all team sports is
scheduled at 1500 hrs. Any team selected in final for more than one sport can compete
only in one of the finals as per their choice. Post completion of finals all
teams/participants can play in Decathlon Challenger round by paying Rs. 200/- for
each game till 1630 hrs.
There are enough food stalls and water points in the venue. The campus is
strictly a plastic free and non-smoking zone. All five members of your team will be
provided with complimentary T-shirts and lunch. Each participant of the team can be
accompanied by maximum of two guests for the event. All participants are to be wear
sports shoes compulsorily to participate in the fitness challenge.
