SINGLY RECTANGULAR BEAM
A Beam is any structural member which resists
load mainly by bending. Therefore it is also called
flexural member. Beam may be singly reinforced

or doubly reinforced. When steel is provided only
in tensile zone (i.e. below neutral axis) is called
singly reinforced beam.

Design Review
Where we have to Where we have to investigate
select the cross section whether the given beam section
and reinforcement of have enough capacity to sustain
beam based on the the load i.e. to resist the moment
external load/other subjected to the beam or not. If not
loads subjected to the in some cases we have to redesign
concerned beam and the beam. It is the process to
material property of find out the moment resisting
concrete and steel capacity of a beam section.
