Importance of Family
Introduction
1. What defines a family and how much it means to us? Can we imagine our existence without
our family? Of course, our first reaction would be a ‘No’; we cannot imagine our existence
without our family. And a family is defined by its members, the more the merrier – I would say.
However, more often than not, it’s about our parents living together under one roof and then
there are our grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins.
2. Over the past 20 years of my life, many things have changed, including my friends, style,
morals and jobs. With everything constantly changing around me, there is one thing that has
always stayed the same: my family.

3. When I think about my happiest moments in life, they all involve my family. My relationship
with my parents, siblings, and husband is something that I learn to treasure more and more every
day. There are many important things in life but the most important thing to me is family because
of Family provides me support and security, teach me the value and how important is the family
relationship.

Body

Transition: Coming to a main reason why I give more importance to the family is that it provides
me support and security for each other.

I Family provides me support and security

1. One of the main reasons family is essential to me is that we provide support and
security for each other. This doesn’t only mean financial support but also emotional
support. When I first came to the United States, I didn't know any English and couldn’t
even communicate any word to others. My husband help to enroll ESL classes to improve
my language. After that i told my husband these my career goals, I need to focus. He is
giving me full support to complete my CCNA certification. The knowledge that should
something go wrong with my life, I won’t be alone makes me feel much more confident
and ready to face the world.

2. Family is very important to me is that they are the ones who love and understand
me. Everyone has emotional needs. We are a species as reliant on our emotions as our
intellect. For our well-being, both mental and physical, we need emotional connect. My
family provides that to me in spades. They understand why I do the things I do and love
me anyway. My family gives me unconditional love.

Transition: Now can move on what did I have learned from my family
II Family teaches me values

1. Family values impact healthy child and adolescent development in profound ways.
Most families have positive values that are steeped in their cultures or religions. My
parents teaches how they value our cultural and religion. Now I following them even
though I am in different world.
2. They teaches me honesty, trust, fairness, respect, responsibility, and courage etc.
Parents were talked a meaningful dinner conversation and encouraged us to follow the
values. My father always says “whatever happens in the world, whoever comes you to
kill you wherever you go you should be 100% honest. That the biggest thing I learned
from my father and I am following that and am going to transfer to my kids too.

Transition: Now the biggest and very important thing my family is building up the relationship
with the family members

III. Importance of Family Relationships

1. In order for a family to be strong, the bonds amongst them need to be strong.
Relationships are the bonds that keep a family together. If the family has a good
relationship with its members, they will have a stronger commitment to each other.
Family unity will be important.
2. Strong family relationships also mean better communication. The members of the
family take out the time to talk to each other. The conversations could be about small
things or big ones that doesn’t matter. What matters is that the family members are
connected to each other. They understand one another and listen to what the other person
has to say.
3. The strength of family relationships gives members the impetus to appreciate each
other. After love, this may be the most sought after need in a human being. Everyone
feels the need to be appreciated; it helps us feel worthwhile and boosts our self-
confidence. Stronger family bonds mean that when a family member appreciates you, it
enhances your self-esteem and in turn makes it easier for you to express your
appreciation.

Conclusion

1. In conclude family is more important in every words. They teach me value and how
important is the relationship among family and family always support and keeps secure
where I go.
2. Without a family we end up navigating the calms, the storms and the choppy waters of
life all alone. If we do not have a family to anchor us, we often fail at this navigation and
drown under the force of everything life throws at us.
3. Family gives us the strength we need to get through the bad times and celebrates the good
times with us.
