2) Sensor Unit.

a) Non-Contact IR based pyrometer:

The sensors are noncontact infrared temperature sensors. These sensors calculate
the surface temperature based on the emitted infrared energy of objects. The sensor housing
of the CT head is made of stainless steel (IP65/ NEMA-4 rating) – the sensor electronics is
placed in a separate box. The CT sensing head is a sensitive optical system.

Technical Details of the sensor:

Spectral response of the sensor : 8-14 µm.

Measurement range : -50 to 975 °C
Power Supply : 8–36 VDC
Current draw max. 100 mA
Outputs 0/ 4–20 mA, 0–5/ 10 V, thermocouple (J or
K) or alarm output

b) Inductive proximity sensor:

Inductive proximity sensors are used for non-contact detection of metallic objects.
It detects the passing flanges of rail wheels with great precision. The detailed specification of
the sensor is given below:

Technical Details of the sensor:

Sensor type Inductive
