In my essay, I will be research and talking about how humans are the main cause of

species becoming endangered. I want to show how humans are the biggest risk to the species in

the world today. I want to inform and educate humans on how to help save these species. Why

are humans the main cause of species being endangered? What can humans do to prevent these

species from going endangered?

This article written by Bill Freedman and Laurie Duncan talks about how endangered

species have significantly increased over the past years. Species have become endangered or

extinct from hunters, poachers, and habitat loss. Many agencies like the ESA and World Wildlife

Fund attempt to prevent species from becoming endangered or extinct.


The purpose in writing this article was to inform and show why species are becoming

endangered. The audience for this audience for this article would all people because it refers to

people as the main cause of species becoming endangered. The article was written in 2002 so the

information may seem outdated and old to the topic but it focuses on many keys points.

The author is Bill Freedman and Laurie Duncan, they both are very credible authors

because in the writing of this article they use many other sources to support their claims. These

authors have also written many other articles about species and global warming.

I will use this article to implement information about endangered species and the causes

of them becoming endangered. I will use this article to show what types of animals have been

affected by human causes.

endangered. This article shows the reasons to why species become endangered and lists

examples to why it happens. This article also shows many other reasons than human actions to

why species are becoming endangered.

The author’s purpose in writing this essay is to educate us on endangered species and

how they become endangered. The audience for this source would be students because it is a

scholastic resource. It being written in 2003 would affect the use of more recent information and

updated data.
The writer is Edward R. Ricciuti and he is co-author for a book called “The Audubon

Society Book of Wild Animals”. Since he has co written a book so he would have some resource

on animals and other species. It follows the CRAP method because of accuracy and purpose of

this article.

I will use this in my essay by using the information I the article to show support for my

claims. I will also use this to show multiple reasons why humans cause species to go endangered.

I will use the data from the article to support claims of how human activity has caused species to

become endangered or extinct.

awareness and conservation activities. The author is credible because its a very big company that

works for Amazon and it works to support environmental awareness.


I will this article in my essay by using the information it gives me in support of how

humans cause species to go endangered. I will also use information given in the article for my

counter-argument to show other reason to why species become endangered that are not human

causes.

the information is very updated.

source because its a newspaper source and its used worldwide so it can be used for reliable

information. It also follows the CRAAP guidelines because it focuses on relevance and accuracy

of the article.

I will integrate this into my final essay by using the examples of endangered species to

show examples in my essay. The will answer some of my research proposal question because

this article lists examples of endangered species and also lists reforms for these problems.

endangered. The article talks about how snow leopards are becoming extinct at an alarming rate.

Snow leopards also have low reproduction rate so it's hard to breed more.

The author of this video created this video to help educate people on what endangered

species are. The audience for this article would be people who want learn about endangered

species or endangered species reform. This video was posted in 2007 which may mean the

information is outdated but it still hits key points.


The creator and publisher of this video is Voicebox Tv. The author is credible because

they have done many other interviews or podcasts over popular topics in the media. The source

is also reliable because it's a documentary youtube series.

I would use this in my final essay by integrating the examples it uses in the interview. I

would also be able to talk about endangered species reforms because the person being

interviewed is World Wildlife Fund officer. This help me form a position in my essay as I will

talk about reforms.
