answer the questions.
Representation: Students will be able to use their own handheld devices or the devices provided in the
classroom.
Action and Expression: Students will be able to activate their competitive nature when expressing their
knowledge.

Describe the instructional activities that will occur PRIOR to the SRT activity and how you will introduce
the SRT activity.
Students will then gather into groups of two or three.
Students will go to different stations. These stations will be of maps that include features such as:
Amazon River, Amazon Rainforest, Caribbean Sea, Gulf of Mexico, Atlantic Ocean, Pacific Ocean,
Panama Canal, Andes Mountains, Sierra Madre Mountains, and Atacama Desert. b. Locate on a
world and regional political-physical map the countries of Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, and
Panama. Other stations will include countries such as Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, and
Panama.
The stations will require students to find out information about the different South American features
and countries. Students will answer questions to initiate their research.
Students will then answer questions that will later appear on Kahoot quiz.

Briefly describe what will happen DURING the SRT activity: Students will use a handheld device to answer
go on Kahoot.it to complete the quiz. They can use devices available in the classroom. Students will go to
kahoot.it and once everyone is ready students will take the quiz. The questions will be displayed on the
board. Students will be rewarded points for the questions that answer correctly.

Describe what will happen AFTER the SRT activity?


After the activity, as a class we will review the questions from the quiz. In this review we will dicuss the right
answers and students will give there explanations on why they chose the answer the chose.
How will the data be used? This data will determine what topics need a little more attention and whther or
not the students are ready to move along. This data will also determine the groups students will be in regard
to this subject matter in the future. Students with the higher scores will be paired with student with the lower
scores.

Describe your personal learning goal for this activity. I hope to learn from this type of assessment how best
my students respond to certain questions. It will also give me knowledge of whether or not students are
ready to move to a higher level of thinking

Reflective Practice: I think this lesson could be improved if students work on groups first when doing the
kahoot! game then they could work individuals.
