and/or their world: How do you get ideas for write a fantastic or fiction stories? What to write a
fantastic story about? What are the steps you need to know to write a story? How you identity a
fiction story?
Standards:

Your statement about what learners should know and be able to do. Students should be able to
create a fiction story using they favorite animal and imagining this animal acting as humans. After
writing in a paper the students will be able to use Pixton comics tools to write and illustrate their
fantastic stories..

Write narratives in which they recount two or more appropriately sequenced events, include some details
regarding what happened, use temporal words to signal event order, and provide some sense of closure.

Overview and Timeline


This project will take approximately a week. During the first two days, student will write down
their narrative stories including some details regarding what happened, use temporal words to signal
event order, and provide some sense of closure. For the next three days, students will be creating their
fantastic stories using pixton comics tool.
Assessment
Students will produce a narrative text presenting a fiction story about a fantastic animal. The
students will demonstrate understanding of what fiction means, how they can create a fiction story
using their favorite animals. A checklist with the sequence’s words will be provided to guide

students’ writing and the teacher will state a rubric to assess these. Students will share their pixton
comics creation with the teacher and after completion of their fiction stories, students will be able
to share their writing with classmates in the writing workshop conference.

Resources
Educator Preparation:
Teacher will support the students creating their pixton comics accounts and also teacher will make
sure all students have access to pixton comics platforms to complete assignment.

Tools and Resources Provided to Learners:


Teacher will be able to assist to students during the lesson as well as teacher will promote students
help each other’ in this project guided by the for a checklist and project procedures.

Tutorials and Templates Provided to Learners:


A previous lesson will be provided to use platform and a video presentation will remain projected
to support students understanding.
Graphic organizers will be able to guide students to organize information

Pixton comics will be used for his project because is an easy tool that student can use.

Instructional Plan
Management: Teacher will be give 30 minutes the first two days during the hand writing time and
45 minutes for the next three days during using the digital platform project. Students will also be
given 10 minutes to collaborate with a writing partner along the whole process of writing.

Differentiation: Students will be given sentence frames to help with writing and graphic
organizers to guide their writing steps. Students with IEP, will be given extra time to complete
assignment. Students who are more advanced will help their partners.

Closure and Reflection


Students will share their thinking about the creation of their fiction story using pixton comics. The
teacher also will ask the students to provide feedback about all videos shared.
