Description of Work Immersion
Work immersion is the key feature in the Senior High School
curriculum and refers to the part of that consists of 80 hours of
hands-on experience of work simulation which Grade 12 students
will undergo to expose them to the actual work setting and to
enrich the competencies provided by the school.

With the four exits envisioned for SHS graduates-namely,


higher education, entrepreneurship, employment or middle-level
skills development-the first batch of Grade 12 learners are
expected to become full-fledged contributors to the social
development and nation-building. Work immersion is a key subject
under the SHS curriculum that is conducted in different ways and
time frame as needed by SHS learners. The subject provides
learners with opportunities to become familiar with the
workplace; for employment simulation, and to apply their
competencies in areas of specialization/applied subjects in
authentic work environments.

The said learning experience that the students can get from
it will surely enable and help students as they familiarize
themselves with the workplace simulation and apply their
competencies in their particular areas. The completion of work
immersion is a prerequisite to graduation under the K-12 program.

It aims to hone globally competitive citizens, with its


specialized curriculum, getting Filipino students for further
studies, employment or entrepreneurship. Experience is considered
to be one of life’s greatest teacher. As trainees, we can use it
as a motivation as we gain expertise in our respective fields.
This experience will surely help us not only for our life as
students but also our future job as professional employees of the
country.

Evangelista - Chavez Dental Clinic

ESTABLISHMENT

Evangelista-Chavez Dental Clinic is located at Poblacion,


Bongabong Oriental Mindoro.The owner of this clinic is Dr. And
Dra. Evangelista. The two siblings of this owner is part of the
clinic.

EXPERIENCE WITH THE HIGHER OFFICER

The experience of the work immersionist with the higher


officer is memorable. The manager has shown an impressive skill s
on how to communicate to the patient. She had a concern the
immersionist student. She also teach the work immersionist on how
to use the different kinds of utensils using the dental clinic.
Then she also teach detect the blood pressure of the patient and
the most important and memorable thing she gave on a lesson to
the immersionist about the dental procedure.

Mrs. Erlinda Evangelista orient the work immersionist on


their first day about the daily doing inside the clinic, she also
tell to anyone of them to approach the patient .

EXPERIENCE WITH THE WORKERS

The experience with the workers is one of the unforgettable


memories for the work immersionist. Socialization is one that
they have to do unable for them to know each worker very well. As
they socialize they should not forget to respect them.

Each work immersionist are required to approach the workers


with manner. That will be basics if they really respect every
worker. Also, that will be the hint of the workers if the work
immersionist has a positive or negative attitude.

The immersionist are placed with workers to learn and not to


undertake. Which require extensive training or expertise as well
as to enhance their skills.

LEARNING AND REALIZATION

The immersionist learn and realize that if they’re not


willing to learn, all of their hard work will gonna be useless.
They will regret the end all of what they did wrong.

The immersionist learns how to become a punctual person.


Being late is such a disgrace for them. So, they disciplined them
selves. They woke up early that’s why they are always on time.

nother thing that they have learned is managing their


stress. Even they have many task to accomplish, they find ways to
make it easy. There technique is telling a joke that makes
everyone to laugh. Each of their work was successfully than when
there are doing this. The last is being a positive thinker.
Positivity is what they need to achieve their goals. Their
positivity can lead them to success.

EXPERIENCE WITH CO-IMMERSIONIST

The experience with the co- immersionist are more memorable


than other experience. The personality of each one is
recognizable for they are always at the someplace. By observing
each other personality they know the skills of anyone

The bond that they have is just a part of their working in


dental clinic. They treasure each moment that they have. They
learn for each other as they know what the life story of each one
is. They also happy what they doing inside the clinic, the way
they detect blood pressure of the patient. Doctora tells the
correct blood pressure to the one work immersionist and then the
other work immersionist is still detecting on that thing we
considered that a challenge and also achievement.
