Tamara Dinev, Paul Hart, and Michael Mullen are all professors at Atlantic University.

Which makes them trustworthy because if she does not tell the truth she will be fired and her

credibility will be lowered, also these people have studied the information they have elaborated

to us in order to get their title as professor. The information from this text gives background

knowledge on what surveillance is and how it works to how all of the new surveillance, Adding

Department of Information Technology and Operations Management information into my text

will boost the reader's confidence in my work when seeing that I have a reliable source that

connects to the overall flow of the topic.

The Editorial Board, “Mass Surveillance Isn’t the Answer to Fighting Terrorism”, New York

Times.https://www.nytimes.com/2015/11/18/opinion/mass-surveillance-isnt-the-answer-

Weeks 2

The New York Times Editorial Board is a well known board that produces correct and

useful text for the public to read, The information in this article we'll give my paper information

on why surveillance is not the answer to fighting terrorism and how surveillance can cause more

problems in a country. Adding these vicious points to my essay will enhance the essay extremely

and will cause the reader to relate because of the familurality of New York Times.

U.S. Constitution. Amend. IV, Sec. 1.

The U.S, Constitution is reliable because it is a primary source and because it was written

by the founding fathers of our nation and is the primary basis of our law and government. I

received a key argument explaining that we have privacy from government written in the Fourth

Amendment. This source is of great value because it is a primary source that contains key

information and is our current law in the United States.

Courage Foundation, “Free Edward Snowden”, Courage Snowden.

https://edwardsnowden.com/.2016

Edward Snowden is man who works for the National Security Association and he

released a ton of information of how agents can randomly spy or survey any body. I used this

information to show why we should not be under complete surveillance in america 24/7. This

information is of great value because Edward Snowden was a man who worked for the

government but saw the flaws and came out and told the public he believed was worth knowing,

This information is key to my project because it gives an inside look of how the government

feels,

https://www.archives.gov/about/laws/privacy-act-1974.html

The Privacy Act of 1973 is a primary source that is extremely trustworthy because

it is contributed into the United States law. This led me to gain insight on the current laws

of privacy invasion and how to distinguish if something is just surveillance or if it is

privacy invasion. The Privacy Act of 1973 is of great value because it dovetails off of the

U.S. Constitution in order to fully explain the current law on privacy and where the line is

drawn.

Keele, Mike, “Liberty and Patriot Act”, Intoon, http://www.intoon.com/cartoons.cfm/id/100661.

2011

Mike Keele is a famous editorial cartoonist who has won the Pulitzer Prize for Editorial

Cartooning. This cartoon shows the contrast between terrorism prevention and invasion of

privacy and how closely they are related and shows that the government is “locked up” to pick a

side yet. The Cartoon is important to have in my essay so the reader has a different aesthetic to

view and relate to in order to get my point across accurately and efficiently.

U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of State, 2001-

2009.state.gov/s/ct/rls/rm/2001/5760.htm.(CON)

This link is the Freedom Act which limits the government's ability to surveil its citizens. I

will use it as a CON to my argument.
