Flow straightener
A flow straightener is a device which removes or significant-
ly reduces swirl but may not simultaneously produce the
acceptable flow conditions. The 19-tube bundle flow
straightener according to DIN EN ISO 5167-2 consists of
19 tubes (marked as "B", see related figure) arranged in a
cylindrical pattern.

Flow conditioner
A flow conditioner is a device which, in addition to a) a ring of 4 central holes of diameter 0.141 D on a pitch
meeting the requirements of removing or significantly circle diameter of 0.25 D;
reducing swirl, is desgined to redistributing the velocity b) a ring of 8 holes of diameter 0.139 D on a pitch circle
