Our program is equal parts outdoor fun and experiential learning. Students will
hike to collect biological samples, collaborate to develop their own weather Program Schedule*
stations, and compare water samples from various altitudes and sources. Each
day will consist of short lectures on key topics followed by independent enquiry 29 - Arrival and Introduction
and experimentation with the support of our expert staff. Student data collection

and analysis will be supplemented by guest lectures from professionals in the field.

Professional consultants and project managers will support students as they work 04 - Guest speaker, data analysis
in small groups to create their own projects for science, activism, business, or

The program promotes student health through daily exercise: hikes in the clear

kayaking and mountaineering.

Management Board / Instructor
Michael has a Masters degree
in Geography and works as a
consultant for government and
business. He is deeply interest-
ed in the environment and out-
door education.
Virginia Garcia Millan, PhD
Instructor
Virginia has a PhD in the Bi-
ology of Conservation and 9
scientific publications. She is
currently working at the Uni-
versity of Lund as a research
engineer.
Dominica Harrison, MSc
Educational Design / Instructor
In addition to her classroom
teaching experience in Biolo-
gy and Environmental Sci-
ence, Dominica has led field
schools in multiple interna-
tional locations.
Xinni Zhang, MA
Parent Liaison / Chaperone
Xinni has a Masters Degree in
Translation and Interpreting.
She speaks Spanish, English,
and Mandarin and knows
firsthand the value of inter-
national experience.
