Dear Zen,

We write in response to your request for advice in regard to your situation with your Internet Service
Provider: Eastern Communications Inc.

Upon review of the terms of your agreement with your internet service provider, it appears that the
specific paragraph of the Agreement on “Term” does not expressly provide you for an option to terminate
the service prior to the agreed date of termination as provided on the SLA. It only provides you an option
not to renew the service after twelve (12) months (which is the Initial Term). However, the SLA provides
an option to amend or revise the terms and conditions of the agreement which includes the terms on
charges due. While that may be an option for you, it entails approval from your internet service provider
as you have to agree on the amendments or revisions, as the case may be. In that case, you may ask from
your internet service provider to reduce the amount of charges that you pay within the Initial Term of the
service.

When did you sign the agreement?

The SLA prevails over the proposal. Only 12 months.
