Question 2

At one time or another, people will have the time to feel lonely to the extreme.
When I say "I'm lonely because of... technology", maybe someone will laugh and
look at me strangely. But whatever reaction than that, I still say that technology
takes away my simple, genuine joys.

To be honest, I feel isolated from ineffective interaction. Specifically my

classmates and I often go out for drinking milk-tea after school, but they just sat
quietly focusing on their smart-phones to surf the Internet, as if there was nothing to
talk about or take it to talk somewhere else, where is that ? Is the social network…
Another thing is that instead of sitting together to discuss the lesson for convenience
of discussion and exchange, my group of friends just exchanged homework through
the Internet, and only through a few brief comments on Facebook they can
accomplish the presentation.

We are dominated too much by virtual life that accidentally neglects interactions,
interconnections in real life. That is the reason why I feel isolated from others.
Although smart-phones or tablets contain numerous interesting things even bring
the world in our minds, they make us being dependent on technology, lazy, afraid to
meet, and gradually self-contained. I realized the illusion of happiness turns out to
be lifeless, lost to the world.

Whereby the only way I can get out of this isolation is that I’ll be active in all
conversations as well as in meeting friends by trying to strike up a conversation
with everybody. When making new friends, I’ll ask their home address to have a
chance to visit them instead of asking for a facebook address to gossip.

It seems that today's modern technology will be slavery, a tool for life, making
human life easy. But someday people suddenly wake up and realize that they are too
lonely and isolated. They really need to interact with each other more than one click
on the phone screen to save the relationship around them, just like me.
