VORWORT Obschon die Elementarscbule von Priedtich Demnitz ein grundlegendes Unterrichtswerk fiir Klatinetie dar- stellen, blicben sie bis heute in un- seren Schulen nahezu unbekannt und in offiziellen Lehrplinen unbeachter! Der Komponist (er wurde 1845 in Wonschendorf geboren und starb 1890 in Dresden, wo er Klarinetist in der Hofkapelle war) wollte mit dieser Semmlung dazu beitragen, die Spieltechnik bis zm dem schovierigen Punkt der vollen Beherrechung au steigern, wobei er besonders auf die Phrasierung und die Tonbildung ‘Wert legte. Selbst in einem Stick von geringer ‘Ausdehnung versteht es der Autor, verschiedene Probleme und Aspekte des instrumentalen Stadiums aur rollen: die verschiedenen Arten der ‘Tongebung ond der Klangstirke, die Tonleitera, die Arpeggien, ‘die Versicrungen.
