to be a man or a woman?
2. What for you is gender equality?

The Teacher will post the difficult words (or group of words) on the board so that the

Comprehension Questions:
a. What for you is being depicted in the first three lines of the poem? Hidden
Emotions/feelings
b. How about the rest of the line of the poem, what does it convey?
c. Can you give me an example or circumstance of inequality?
V. Developing and generalizing about the lesson (ABSTRACTION)
Why do you think there is gender inequality? Gender inequality has been extraordinarily
diverse and wide spread. Women and men are unequal in every conceivable way in
endless circumstances, both immediate and enduring, by both objective criteria and
subjective experience.
VI. Evaluating learning (APPLICATION)
Group Activity: Entire class, divided into 2 groups (if class is small enough)
1. Divide class in half either by (1) asking students to seat themselves in the section
representing a particular side of the debate, or (2) dividing students in half by where they
already happen to be seated.
2. Assign each half of the class a position on a topic or issue. Give students approximately
15 minutes to prepare an argument for their position. After 15 minutes, have each side
share their position.
3. After each side provides their “Opening Argument,” each side must then prepare to
respond to the opposition’s argument (give students approximately 10 minutes). This part
requires members of the groups to carefully listen to and reconstruct the opposition’s
argument.
4. After each side provides their criticisms of the opposition’s position, each group then
has the opportunity to respond to the criticisms (give students approximately 10 minutes
for students to prepare their responses to this as well).
VII. Additional Activities for application or remediation: (HOMEWORK)
What is Assonance? Give examples from any selections wherein assonance is used.
VIII. REFLECTION:
a. No. of learners who earned 80% in the evaluation
b. No. of learners who require additional activities for remediation
c. Did the remedial lessons work? No. of learners who have caught up with the lesson
d. No. of learners who continue to require remediation
e. Which of my teaching strategies worked well? Why did these work?
f. What difficulties did I encounter which my principal or supervisor can help me solve?
g. What innovation or localized materials did I use / discover which I wish to share with
other teachers?
