Investigation
General  Presence of bad  Unpleasant smell from carpeted floor at
investigation smell/odour Main Control Room
 Cleanlines (chemical,  Presence of dust and stuffy breathing air
dust and trash)
 Excessive moisture.  The high temperature and dry air detected
at the Main Control Room.
 Low temperature with high moisture
condition especially at standby and resting
area.
Human  Density of space  Ample working space area to
exposure and  Working hours accommodate 3-4 occupants in 3
comfort levels designated area. A total of 8-9 crew
members with 12 hours daily/shift.
 The indoor temperature is not regulates by
thermostats. The Main Control room had 5
visual display unit and the heat from there
can be detected.
 There are glass windows surface to enable
natural sun light and 3 door connecting to
the designated working areas.
Chemical  Fumes, detergents etc.  Printer that emits fumes and air freshener
used at The Main Control Room detected.
Ventilation  Exhaust fan and air  Only two out of three exhaust fans are
filtering functioning whilst the other has been
malfunction for more than 3 months.
 No air filter units to filter unwanted
suspended matter in the air.
 Air quality was poor due to pollutions from
smoking activities at standby and waiting
area.
