standard logbookwrite-ups for each fault code. The fault codes refer theoperator to the FIM.
Fault Isolation Manual
Maintenance crews use these resources to identify themaintenance procedures (FIM task
numbers) to correctfaults:-Crew observations-CMC generated maintenance messages-Fault
codes and descriptions from the FIM-Front face bite equipmentThe FIM also has related
references to the AMM andgives procedures necessary to verify when faults havebeen
corrected.
Master Minimum Equipment List
The MMEL supplies the recommended minimumequipment necessary for dispatch. MMEL
proceduresare located in Part II of the AMM. The MMEL alsosupplies the procedures for
dispatch with a fault, ifpermitted. The maintenance crew uses the MMEL todecide when to fix
the fault.
Aircraft Maintenance Manual
The maintenance crew uses the AMM to do theapplicable maintenance procedure. The
AMM has twoparts: the system description section (SDS) and thepractices and procedures
section.The SDS has a description of the interfaces, function,and operation of the systems
and subsystems of theaircraft.The practices and procedures sections have data relatedto the
functions that follow:-Maintenance practices-Servicing-Removal and installation of
components-Adjustment and test-Inspection and check-Cleaning and painting-Repair
Maintenance Planning Document
The maintenance planning document specifies the tasksfor each type of scheduled
maintenance check.
Maintenance Task Card Manual
The maintenance task card manual has the task cardsthe operator uses during the
maintenance checks.
System Schematics Manual
The system schematics manual helps the user tounderstand the operation of the system and
to do a faultisolation procedure. The SSM supplies the interconnection of all LRUs of a
system or subsystem.
Wiring Diagram Manual
The wiring diagram manual supplies details of the point-to-pointwiring on the aircraft.

The aircraft illustrated parts catalog has figures andrelated parts lists to help the operator
identify thenecessary replacement parts and their data. Theapplicable data includes the
items that follow:-Figure that shows the location of the part-Replacement part
number-Replacement part quantity-Supplier data-Specification numbers-Recommended
spares-Service bulletin history
