CRITERIA
Films made after January 1, 2006 are eligible for entry. To ensure that the full
range of mountain filmmaking will be available to the participants and audience,
no restrictions have been set in terms of discipline, genre. The entries can be
documentaries, shorts, animation or experimental art forms. The maximum time
allowed is 15 min including credits. Filmmakers can also choose their own
themes, whether ethnographic, adventurous, investigative, abstract, reportorial,
or introspective.

ENTRY CONDITIONS
Entry cost is INR 650/-. Entries without the duly filled-in entry form will not be
considered. All entries must be accompanied by labelled still photographs/slides
from the films for use in the festival catalogue and promotion. Films once
entered cannot be withdrawn. The cost of mailing the films to The National
Short Film festival at IMT Nagpur must be covered by the entrants
themselves. The festival will not be responsible for any loss, damage, and/or
delay of films in transit.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES

All entries must us by October12, 2010, 1800 hours.

SENDING PROCEDURES
Entries for selection will be accepted only in DVD formats,

FILM SELECTION
All entries will be viewed by a preview committee and the selection will be
completed by October 12, 2010. The directors and/ producers of accepted
entries will be immediately notified.
The festival does not send out rejection letters.
Top 20 films will be screened on 15th and 16th of October 2010 to the judging
committee in the theatres of IMT Nagpur, where audience entry is free of cost.
Top 2 films will be selected by the judges and rewarded.

Films in Language other than English/Hindi should carry subtitles in English.

JURY AND AWARDS

Cash prizes, along with citations, will be awarded for overall excellence to the
directors/producers of two short films chosen by judges.
All competing movie will receive certificate of participation.
First Prize – Cash prize Rs 20000/-
Second prize – Cash Prize Rs 10000/-
Best shorts selected by Judges will be screened at SHAMIANA nationally
across SIX cities – BOMBAY,NEW BOMBAY, PUNE, AHMEDABAD, Hyderabad
and GOA with regular monthly screenings drawing packed houses!

In case of any controversy on a matter not mentioned in the above regulations,

the Festival Director, in consultation with the Festival Organizing Committee, will
decide on appropriate action. The Director’s word shall be final.

General Guidelines (Steps to follow)

1. You are requested to fill the entry form (which can be downloaded from
the website http://www.tenmotionarts.in ) and email to
abhinav.kamal@gmail.com along with the attachments required* (see
below). Also, take a hard copy of this form and courier it along with
attachments required*(see below).
2. The entry fee is INR 650/- only. Mode of payment is described below.
3. The courier and the email should reach us by 12th of October, 2010 1800
hours

• A scanned copy of the Demand Draft as an attachment with the same
mail

*Attachments required with your courier

• The entry (DVD High Quality format regardless of original shooting
format) – 2 copies of the DVD is required.
• Duly filled up hard copy of Entry form in this document.
• The Print out of the Demand Draft with your name, address and phone
number mentioned on the back side.
