LESSON PLAN INFINITIVES AND –ING FORMS

Time: 30 minutes Number of students: 30

Teaching aids: Pieces of paper, computer, video, pictures, speakers, whiteboard, marker and ball.

Aims: By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:


 Introduce verb patterns and learn the difference between gerunds and infinitives.
 Distinguish and use appropriately the infinitive and gerund (-ing) forms.
 Make sentences using infinitives and gerunds.

Personal aim: During this lesson we will try to give clear instructions to the activities and maintain a good pace.

Anticipated problems: The students may confuse the use of gerunds and infinitives. Make sure to provide students clear
examples to show the difference between them.
Other is that there are a few rules to be observed while using gerunds and students might just ignore them. So, we will
make students practice using these rules.
PROCEDURE
