Cinderella

Once upon a time, there lived a beautiful girl with two older stepsisters and a
stepmother. Since his biological father died, she was treated like a maid. She was forced to
comply with the requests of her stepmother and her two stepsisters. Even so, Cinderella was
still a kind girl. She still loved her stepsisters and stepmother.

One day the king would hold a dance party in the palace. Invitations were spread all
the way to the villages. This dance party aimed to find a girl who would be the princess’s
queen. Hearing the good news, Cinderella’s stepsisters were very happy. “Mother, please
choose me the most beautiful dress to attend a dance party at the palace tonight” said the
eldest sister. “Me also, Mom, buy me a new dress. I do not want the prince looked
disappointed when he dances with me “said the second sister. Hearing her daughters were
chattering happily, the mother replied “Of course, I will choose nice dresses for the party
tonight”. Cinderella who was sweeping looked very happy. In her heart she also wanted to go
to a dance party at the palace, she said to her stepmother “Mother, please allow me to go to
the party, I do not need a new dress. Just allow me to go”. The stepmother and her stepsisters
were very upset and scolded at Cinderella. The mother said “No, you cannot! You’ll be at
home”. Hearing that, Cinderella was silent. Her wish to meet the prince was failed.
Nevertheless, she remained willing to undergo the treatment of her mother.

The time of dancing finally came. The stepmother and her two daughters were
preparing to go to the palace. They wore the best dresses with beautiful shoes and make-up.
While Cinderella could only stare at their departure from behind the window. When
Cinderella was sad, suddenly a beautiful woman said to her, “Cinderella calmed down, you’re
going to join this dance party tonight. Do not worry, I’ll help you”. Cinderella was surprised,
“Who are you?”. The beautiful woman replied softly “I am a fairy of heaven, come here”.
With a charming smile, the fairy twirled her wand in front of Cinderella. Instantly Cinderella
changed like a royal princess. She wore a beautiful dress, silver crown, and a pair of glass
shoes. Cinderella also seemed happy “Thank you fairy. But how do I get to go to that palace?
I do not have the money to rent a cart, “Cinderella said. In a flash, the beautiful fairy
presented guards and horse-drawn carriages for Cinderella. “You can ride this horse-drawn
carriage. Remember, the effect of this magic will disappear by midnight “. Hearing that,
Cinderella nodded and immediately headed to the palace.

Arriving at the palace, all was stunned to see the beauty of Cinderella. Even her
stepmother and her stepsisters did not recognize her. The Prince was in love with Cindrella,
and he invited her to have a dance. Cinderella was very happy. Suddenly the midnight bell
screeched “I have to go, Prince”, Cinderella said. “Wait princess, what is your name?”,
replied the prince who ran after Cinderella. Unintentionally, Cinderella’s glass shoe was
slipped out on the terrace of the palace. The glass shoe was finally taken by the prince. In his
heart he promised to find the owner of the glass shoe.

The next day, the Prince and the bodyguards went all the way to the country, but no
girl fitted the glass shoe. Until the Prince came to Cinderella’s house. Her stepsisters were
very excited to hear the Prince’s arrival, “Give me! I’ll try on those glass shoes”, said both
Cinderella’s stepsisters together. However, it turned out the glass shoe did not fit them.
Suddenly Cinderella said, “Let me try it , Prince”. Prince replied, “Please, lady”. Seeing that
the stepmother said “Cinderella, it’s a shame of you”. But Cinderella tried the glass shoe
anyway and it fitted on her foot. The Prince felt happy and said “You’re the princess I’ve
been looking for”. Cinderella was eventually brought by the prince to the palace and they
lived happily.

Dahulu kala, tinggal seorang gadis cantik dengan dua kakak tiri dan ibu tiri. Sejak
ayah kandungnya meninggal, dia diperlakukan seperti pembantu di rumahnya. Dia dipaksa
untuk mematuhi peraturan ibu tirinya dan dua saudara tirinya. Meski begitu, Cinderella masih
gadis yang baik hati. Dia masih mencintai adik tirinya dan ibu tirinya.

Suatu hari sang raja akan mengadakan pesta dansa di istana. Undangan disebarkan ke
desa-desa. Pesta dansa ini bertujuan untuk menemukan seorang gadis yang akan menjadi istri
sang pangeran. Mendengar kabar baik tersebut, saudara tiri Cinderella sangat senang. “Ibu,
tolong pilihkan saya baju terindah untuk menghadiri pesta dansa di istana malam ini” kata
kakak sulung. “Saya juga, Bu, belikan saya baju baru, saya tidak mau pangeran terlihat
kecewa saat menari bersama saya” kata kakak kedua. Mendengar anak perempuannya
mengoceh dengan gembira, sang ibu menjawab “Tentu saja, ibu akan memilih gaun yang
bagus untuk pesta malam ini”. Cinderella yang sedang menyapu tampak sangat senang. Di
dalam hatinya dia juga ingin pergi ke pesta dansa di istana, dia berkata kepada ibu tirinya
“Ibu, tolong izinkan saya pergi ke pesta, saya tidak butuh gaun baru. Izinkan saya untuk
pergi”. Ibu tiri dan saudara tirinya sangat marah kepada Cinderella. Sang ibu berkata, “Tidak,
kamu tidak boleh! Kamu akan tetap di rumah”. Mendengar hal itu, Cinderella diam saja.
Keinginannya untuk bertemu dengan sang pangeran gagal. Meski begitu, ia tetap rela
mengikuti perintah ibu tirinya.

Waktu dansa akhirnya datang. Ibu tiri dan kedua putrinya bersiap untuk pergi ke
istana. Mereka mengenakan gaun terbaik dengan sepatu dan make-up yang cantik. Sementara
itu Cinderella hanya bisa menatap kepergian mereka dari balik jendela. Saat Cinderella
bersedih, tiba-tiba seorang wanita cantik berkata kepadanya, “Cinderella tenanglah, kamu
akan bergabung dalam pesta dansa malam ini. Jangan khawatir, saya akan membantumu”.
Cinderella terkejut, “Siapa kamu?” Wanita cantik itu menjawab dengan lembut, “Saya adalah
peri surga, kemarilah”. Sambil tersenyum menawan, peri memutar-mutar tongkatnya di
depan Cinderella. Cinderella langsung berubah seperti seorang putri kerajaan. Dia memakai
sebuah gaun yang cantik, memakai mahkota perak, dan sepasang sepatu kaca. Cinderella juga
tampak senang, “Terima kasih peri, tapi bagaimana saya bisa pergi ke istana itu? Saya tidak
punya uang untuk menyewa kereta,” kata Cinderella. Dalam sekejap, peri cantik itu
memberikan penjaga dan kereta kuda untuk Cinderella. “Kamu bisa naik kereta kuda ini.
Ingat, sihir ini akan hilang sampai tengah malam”. Mendengar itu, Cinderella mengangguk
dan langsung menuju ke istana.

Sesampainya di istana, semua terpana melihat kecantikan Cinderella. Bahkan ibu

tirinya dan saudara tirinya tidak mengenalinya. Pangeran jatuh cinta pada Cindrella, dan dia
mengundangnya untuk berdansa. Cinderella sangat senang. Tiba-tiba bel tengah malam
berdenting “Saya harus pergi, Pangeran”, kata Cinderella. “Tunggu putri, siapa namamu?”,
jawab pangeran yang mengejar Cinderella. Tanpa disengaja, sepatu kaca Cinderella
tergelincir di teras istana. Sepatu kaca tersebut akhirnya diambil oleh sang pangeran. Di
dalam hatinya ia berjanji untuk menemukan pemilik sepatu kaca tersebut.

Keesokan harinya, Pangeran dan pengawal pergi ke seluruh penjuru negeri tersebut,
tapi tidak ada wanita yang muat untuk mengenakan sepatu kaca. Sampai akhirnya Pangeran
datang ke rumah Cinderella. Saudara tirinya sangat senang mendengar kedatangan Pangeran,
“Berikan kepadaku! Aku akan mencoba sepatu kaca itu”, kata kedua saudara tiri Cinderella
bersama-sama. Namun, ternyata sepatu kaca tersebut tidak sesuai dengan kaki mereka. Tiba-
tiba Cinderella berkata, “Biar ku coba, Pangeran”. Pangeran menjawab, “Silahkan, nona”.
Melihat hal tersebut ibu tiri berkata “Cinderella, ini sangat memalukan”. Tapi Cinderella
tetap mencoba sepatu kaca dan sepatu kaca tersebut pas di kakinya. Sang pangeran pun
merasa senang dan ia berkata kepada Cinderella “Kamu adalah putri yang saya cari”.
Cinderella akhirnya dibawa oleh pangeran ke istana dan mereka hidup bahagia.
