1.OVERVIEW
1.1 Software Positioning
With the development of computer technology and Internet and the popularization and
application of information technology, all walks of life began to the establishment of large-scale
network to promote the development of e-commerce and e-government, whether in government,
finance, education, medical and other units are core business migration to electronic and network
will gradually.The industry users than ever more dependent on the network, IT infrastructure and
application systems to meet their core business needs.NMS network management system, it is
under the background of the design and development of a set of network management system for
enterprise users.Based on TMN model, provide the equipment management, fault management,
security management, performance management, and other basic functions, the network
administrator.And support for network devices, the host equipment, security equipment, database,
middleware, application, etc., to provide performance and running status monitoring management.
1.2 Application scenarios
NMS_V2 network management software, using pure JAVA language development, based on
C/S structure is designed, composed of both the client and server.Network management server
installed on the network host, the client is installed on the remote client host, client and server
communication realized by using the remote technology, basic application example are as follows:

2.ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
2.1 Haredware requirements
NMS network management system, the basic hardware requirements are as follows:
⚫ CPU: 4-core 2.6GHz or more
⚫ Memory:8G or more
⚫ Hard Disk: 500G and above
⚫ Display: resolution 1024 * 768 or more, it is recommended to use widescreen display
⚫ NIC: 10/100 / 1000M Ethernet card, recommended 100M or more
2.2 Software requirements
Support the following Windows operating system:

⚫ 32-bit Windows XP/WindowsVista/Windows 7 / Windows2008
64: Windows2003/Windows2008
⚫ Database MySql5.1
⚫ Based on the TCP/IP network environment, be pipe equipment and network
management server can normal communication.
3.INSTALLATION AND UNSTALLATION
3.1 Install The Database
⚫ Click on the installation database, and the pop-up database (MySQL) installation
wizard, as shown below:

⚫ Click < Next > to continue and enter the installation protocol license page:
⚫ Select agree to install the license agreement, click < Next >, enter the installation
type selection page, as shown in figure:
⚫ There are three options, "Typical", "Complete", "Custom", where we select "Typical"
(if the user needs to change the installation path or component, select another
option) Click <Next>, enter the installation path information description page, as
shown in Figure:

⚫ Click <Install> to enter the installation process display page, the database began to
install, as shown below:
⚫ After the installation process is complete, enter the database function introduction
information page, as shown below:

⚫ Click <Next> to continue, as shown in the following figure:
⚫ Click <Next> to enter the database server configuration page, as shown in the
following figure:

⚫ Click <Finish> to enter the Database Service Configuration Wizard page, as shown
in the following figure:
⚫ Click <Next> to enter the configuration type selection page, as shown in Figure:

⚫ Select the detailed configuration "Detailed Confuguration", click <Next>, enter the
database server type selection box, as shown below:
⚫ Select the server type "Server Machine", click <Next>, enter the database type
selection box, as shown below:

⚫ Select the multi-purpose "Multifunctional Database" type, click <Next>, enter the
database table space configuration page, as shown below:
⚫ Click <Next> to enter the database connection number selection page, if the network
size is relatively large, connect the client for a long time, you can choose the first
three parameters for adjustment, we choose here "Online Transaction Processing
(OLTP)", as shown below Show:

⚫ Click <Next>, enter the Mysql server network property settings page, do not modify
here, as shown below:
⚫ Click <Next>, enter the database character set selection page, select the third item,
the character set select utf8, as shown below:

⚫ Click <Next> to pop up the database service identity name setting box, as shown
below:
⚫ Use the default settings, click <Next> to continue, enter the security settings page, the
default root user (super management) password is empty, if you need to modify, fill in
the new password (for security reasons, the proposed change password), such as
Figure:

Note: 1. if it is reinstall, and has been set before the password, modify the password
here, fill in the original password and the new password can be
modified. Figure:
2."Enable root access from remote machines" (whether to allow root users
landing on other machines), if you want to be safe, do not
hook on the need for remote access to the database (for
example: network management server and the database is
not installed in the same PC On), check it.
3."Create An Anonymous Account (anonymous anonymous users), anonymous
users can connect to the database, can not operate the data,
including inquiries, it is recommended not to check.
⚫ Click <Next>, pop-up Mysql service start process box, as shown below:

⚫ Click <Execute> to start the service. If there is no accident, the configuration success
box will appear, as shown in the following figure:
Finally, click <Finish> to complete the database installation.

3.2 Install The Server Program
⚫ Click to install NMS server program, pop-up license agreement box, as shown
below:
⚫ Click <next>, pop-up "installation directory" selection box, where you can modify
the installation directory, as shown below:

⚫ Click <next>, pop-up menu to start the menu selection box, it is recommended not to
modify, as shown below:
⚫ Click <Install>, pop-up server program file installation process box, as shown below:
⚫ After the installation is complete, the "Server Installer" box will appear with the
installation completion prompt, as shown in the following figure:

⚫ Click <Close> to complete the installation of the server program.

3.3 Install The Client Program
⚫ Click on install NMS client program, pop-up license agreement box, as shown
below:
⚫ Click <Next> to enter the client program installation directory selection box, you can
select the required installation directory, as shown below:

⚫ Click <next>, pop-up menu to start the menu selection box, it is recommended not to
modify, as shown below:
⚫ Click <install>, pop-up client program file installation process box, as shown below:

⚫ After the installation of the file appears after the completion of the installation
prompt box, as shown below:
⚫ Click <Close> to complete the installation of the client program.
3.4 System Uninstallation
NMS small size, uninstall is very convenient, you can use the following two ways.
Method 1: enter the installation directory, double-click the uninstall file "uninstall.exe" to
uninstall the default can be.
Method 2: [Start -> all programs] select NMS network management can be uninstalled
4. PROGRAM STARTUP
4.1 Start The Server
⚫ First, by default, to ensure that the services provided by the NMS are working properly,
make sure that the following ports are not occupied or are blocked by the firewall.

⚫ Click the server icon on the desktop ，When the server for multi-card, multi-IP
situation, will enter the option to bind IP pages, as shown in Figure:
⚫ Select the binding IP, the pop-up "first boot system configuration" page, as shown in
Figure:
⚫ Click [test the connection], the server will test the database connection, the following
interface appears, said the connection is successful, as shown below:

⚫ Click [completed], pop-up database creation prompt box, here reminded, if it is the first
installation, direct point [Yes (Y)], if it is to upgrade the installation, and want to clear the
previous data, but also point [ If you do not want to clear the previous data, click [No (N)]
to skip this step, as shown in the following figure:
⚫ Click [Yes (Y)], will be the database initialization and import database table, when
completed, will start the server, as shown below:

Note: When the server starts, if the required port is occupied, the server
will fail to start, the server will automatically shut down.
⚫ After the startup is complete, click the icon “ ”，You can view and configure
server-related information, as shown in the following figure:
Description:
1. The number of online users: the number of users log on to the server
2.Set: can modify the IP address, port number, whether the boot automaticallystart
the server
3.Log: records the service start / stop, the user log / log out of the log
4.License Information: You can view the user's license information, and provide
license authorization operation

4.2 Start The Clinet
⚫ Click the desktop client icon ,Enter the login screen, enter your account and
password, and the default administrator account is "admin" and the password is "111111",
as shown below:
Note: Click < set >, open the Settings window, and set the server IP address
and port number.
⚫ Click on [Login] to enter the client interface, as shown below:
