= Segno di chiave che precede percussioni o suoni inusuali per lo strumento.

= (Semibreve) Da eseguirsi, con l'arco, sulla cordiera.

= Armonici artificiali glissati che simulano il verso dei gabbiani della durata
complessiva di un quarto. Vanno eseguiti solamente una volta per battuta
collocandoli a piacere nell'ambito della battuta stessa in cui sono indicati.
N.B.: Partendo dalla nota indicata glissare velocemente su tutta la lunghezza del-
la corda (tale movimento genera 3 suoni simili e conseguenti).

= Il pattern prosegue ininterrottamente fino all'interruzione grafica

= Velocità ad libitum - “alla punta” - “al ponticello come un soffio”

= (Ad imitazione di segnalazioni nautiche) Il pattern va eseguito

mantenendo il valore di semibreve come nelle battute precedenti.

= (Ad imitazione di scricchiolio da beccheggio) Sistemare l'arco verso il tallone

contemporaneamente sulla II e III corda mantenendo fermo il punto d'appoggio
sulla seconda corda, sfregare con pressione, alternativamente e lentamente, verso
il ponticello e la tastiera sulla III corda.
= (Ad imitazione dei gabbiani) La sequenza deve iniziare con Cb.A, Cb.D e
proseguire incalzando progressivamente gli ingressi sino a che essi si
accavallino fra loro per poi ritornare, in senso inverso, rallentando, alla
situazione di partenza (la sequenza deve terminare con Cb.D, Cb.A.

= L'esecuzione in Box deve avere la durata da 20 a 25 secondi al massimo.

La scatola (Box) racchiude la seguente situazione sonora:
Cb.A e D ad imitazione del verso dei gabbiani;
Cb. C ad imitazione di segnalazioni nautiche;
Cb. B ad imitazione dello scricchiolio di una barca provocato da beccheggio.

= (Whole note) To be played with the bow on the tailpiece.

= Artificial harmonics intended to simulate the cry of seagulls for the

duration of a quarter note. To be played only once per bar and placed,
at the discretion of the player, anywhere in the indicated bar.
N.B.: Starting on the written note, make a quick glissando for the entire length
of the string (this movement produces 3 similar and consecutive sounds).

= The pattern is continued without interruption until

indicated by the graphic interruption.

= To be played as fast as desired, “on the bridge at the tip of the bow and
should sound like a whisper”.

= (Imitation of nautical signals) The pattern is to be played for the duration of

a whole note, as in the preceding bars.

= (Imitation of the creaking of a swaying boat) Place the bow near the frog on
both the 2nd and 3rd strings and, keeping the bow still on the 2nd string, brush
with pressure on the 3rd string, alternating slowly between the bridge and the
fingerboard.
= (Imitation of seagulls) The sequence begins in the following order of
players: first Cb.A, with Cb.D and the others entering progressively
until the voices cross over each other and then return slowly in the
opposite order to the starting point.
(The sequence ends with Cb.D and lastly Cb.A.)

= The performance of the Box should last 20 to 25 seconds at the most.

The Box represents the following situation of sounds:
