Synopsis of LNG Limited’s Magnolia LNG Project

Business Overview
• Liquefied Natural Gas Limited is an Australian public listed company (ASX: LNG) based in Perth,
Western Australia, with an vision to bring a dynamic concept of mid-scale liquefied natural gas
("LNG") projects to the international energy market.
• LNGL is currently developing LNG export terminal projects in the United States and Canada having
combined aggregate design production capacity of 20 mtpa, with expansion options, utilizing our
patented OSMR® liquefaction technology.
o Magnolia LNG Project in the Port of Lake Charles, Louisiana, United States
o Bear Head LNG in Nova Scotia, Canada

Magnolia LGN Project Description

Magnolia LNG, a newly formed, wholly-owned subsidiary of Liquefied Natural Gas Limited (LNGL), is
developing an up to 8 million tonne per annum (mtpa) mid-scale LNG facility in the Port of Lake Charles,
Louisiana, USA using LNG Limited's highly efficient and patented OSMR® technology (Project).

• Magnolia LNG is a mid-scale LNG export project, with four trains (liquefaction units), each with a
plant capacity of 2 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of LNG for a total of up to 8 million mtpa or
greater
• A 115-acre project site on the Industrial Canal near Lake Charles in Southwest Louisiana has been
selected, and a long-term Lease Option Agreement has been executed with the Port of Lake Charles.
The lease term is for 30 years, with four 10 year extensions (for a total of 70 years)
• Magnolia LNG will receive natural gas through the existing Kinder Morgan Louisiana Pipeline. The
natural gas will be treated, liquefied and stored onsite
• The patented OSMR® liquefaction is highly efficient and is configured to generate lower greenhouse
gas (GHG) emissions than similar LNG processes. Its technology uses a combined heat and power
plant and a steam-driven pre-cooling refrigeration system to minimize the Project’s fuel gas use and
emissions
• Magnolia LNG plans to be a meaningful and integral part of the U.S. domestic LNG market by
including facilities to load LNG onto:
o LNG carriers for export overseas
o LNG carriers and barges for U.S. domestic marine distribution and the possibility of LNG
bunkering
o LNG trucks for road distribution to LNG refuelling stations in Louisiana and the surrounding
states
• A final investment decision is expected upon execution of sufficient offtake agreements to support
financing

Magnolia LGN Project Highlights

• Up to 8.8 mtpa LNG project (4 x 2.2 mtpa trains)
• On Ship Channel, next to LNG ship turning basin
• Channel is 12th largest US tonnage port; 85% of traffic energy related, including LNG ships
• Feed gas pipeline traverses southern border of site
• Located in industrial area with access to workforce, industrial services, grid power, water, and well-
maintained egress / ingress
• 115 acres adjacent to Calcasieu Ship Channel
• Site is 22 nautical miles from Gulf of Mexico
• 30’ existing elevation; above storm surge level
• Calcasieu Ship Channel maintained by US Army Corp of Engineers and Port Authority

Magnolia LNG Project Site and Mapping

• The Magnolia LNG project is located on a 115 acre site on PLC Tract 475 Industrial Canal off the
Calcasieu Shipping Channel, near Lake Charles in Southwest Louisiana, U.S. The Site is secured with
a legally binding lease with a term of up to 70 years.
• A key feature of the Project Site is the Kinder Morgan Louisiana Gas Pipeline which crosses the
property. This pipeline has interconnections to Columbia Gulf, Transco, TETCO, Texas Gas, ANR
and Pine Prairie pipelines to supply natural gas to the site.
• There is extensive regional infrastructure and utilities support, including a nearby electrical sub-station
and available fresh water. Minimal marine investment is required.
• The Project is supported by local community, state and federal representatives.
