Mitchell Cheng Arlington Elementary Director (Gone by June 2018) Low paid
Jordan Dudek Arlington Student Intern (Gone by June 2018) low to no paid
Dustin May Transferred to Collierville Teaching and community pastor new position
For all of the staff that were terminated either voluntarily or via lay-off, the following people marked as
“GONE” were let go at some point during the month of June or earlier and simply had been removed by
the fourth week of June. That means virtually all of the severance would be completely paid out during
the 5-9 weeks leading up to the July 31, 2018 year end. These were also all lower-end jobs. It is likely
that the only severances at year end were for the Conlees who were let go according to them on June
24, 2018 although it was July 11, 2018, according to the Trustees.
It appears that the Strydoms and Liz Stone, who worked for Chris directly, left sometime after him, so it
is not known if any severance was included in the $572K. This should not be difficult for Highpoint to
clear up. They were neither pastors nor executives. They provided administrative support for pastors
and executives so this amount, if any, is likely not material and their termination dates are likely to have
been after July 31, 2018, as Highpoint was still evaluating positions in the wake of Chris Conlee’s
termination only announced in Mid-July. That would indicate that the amounts would not be included in
the $572K accrual amount.
It appears that the majority of the $572K still left to pay on the $687K severance packages would have
been for the Conlees. Certainly Andy Savage should have received no severance as he voluntarily
resigned and had acted in a way which had disqualified himself from ministry. It is highly probable that
he had a moral turpitude clause, if he had an employment contract at all. FTR, it was such a clause that
was invoked by Bakker Books and their imprint, in order to cancel the publication of both Chris and
Andy’s books, so refusing to pay two disgraced and disqualified pastors is an industry norm.
