is B-Plan?
B-Plan is the annual business plan competition hosted by the
Entrepreneurship Cell of IIM Trichy. Simple ideas have the power to change
the world. This event seeks to identify budding entrepreneurs to contribute
to India's buzzing economy. The Final round with a strategic pitch will take
place during E-Summit, IIM Trichy's annual entrepreneurship event, as part
of our management conclave. The key role of the club is to guide the students
with their creative ideas that can be foreseen as potential ventures. E-cell
mentors, delivers and transforms the creative psyche that will serve in
building ‘A better India for a better tomorrow’.

Round 1: Submission of slide deck and elevator pitch

1. Guidelines for the format of the slide deck of the business model:
• Cover Sheet (Team Name, College, Presenting Team Members, Team
leader contact info)
• Business model
• Competitor Analysis (including your competitive differentiation)
• Primary/secondary research
• Market analysis (market size and potential market share)
• Customer analysis
• Value proposition
• Product/Service Description
• Revenue model & pricing
• Sourcing and supply chain
• Scalability
• App strategy (if applicable)
• Sales & Marketing model
• Financials 


2. For the comprehensive B-plan submission, teams may choose to deviate

from the prescribed format if deemed necessary. However, it is highly
recommended to adhere to this format. 

3. A maximum of 12 slides in the deck (excluding the title slide and
appendix). 


4. Video Pitch: Participants must pitch their innovative business idea in the
form of a 150 seconds video as an individual or team of up to 4 members.
The video should simulate elevator pitches and has to be uploaded on
YouTube.


5. Teams must submit their Round 1 submission File (slide deck and video
link) to ecell@iimtrichy.ac.in by 23:59:59 on the 15th of January, 2019.


6. Naming convention of Files, and the subject of the email should be:
ESummitIIMTrichy19_BPlan_TeamName_CollegeName. 


7. Entries reaching us after the deadline will not be entertained for

evaluation under any circumstances.

8. The entries will be evaluated based on the following parameters:

• Innovation
• Practicality
• Scalability


Final Round:
1. Selected participants from the previous round will be invited to IIM Trichy
campus during E-Summit to be held on 9th February 2019. 


2. All the teams making it to the campus Finals will get opportunities to pitch
to a panel of VCs which may lead to further mentoring opportunities for all
Finalist ventures. 


3. Each team will be given 15 minutes for the Final pitch followed by a 5
minutes Q&A by the panellists. 


4. The Final pitch presentation Files should be submitted a day before the
event. 

5. Teams have to make their own travel arrangements. Accommodation for
two days – the day before and the day of the pitching round - will be
arranged.

Rules and Guidelines

1. The event is open for teams comprising of under graduate and graduate
students.
2. A team can have a minimum of two and a maximum of four members from
their college. A team can make only one submission.
3. One participant cannot be part of more than one team. In case of violation,
both the teams will be disqualiFied.
4. No change in the team structure is permitted after the team is registered.
Please register your team after careful thought and deliberation.
5. The Final decision would be made by the E-Cell, IIM Trichy in case of any
discrepancy.
6. Participants are required to register and submit their business model
online.
