First of all I would like to bow my head before “ALMIGHTY ALLAH” the Omnipotent, the
Omnipresent, the Merciful, the Beneficient who presented me in a Muslim community and also
bestowed and blessed me with such a lucid intelligence as I could endeavor my services toward this
manuscript. Countless salutations are upon the HOLY PROPHET MUHAMMAD (May Peace Be
upon Him), the fountains of knowledge, who has guided his “Ummah” to seek knowledge fr om
cradle to grave.
The work presented in this manuscript was accomplished under the sympathetic attitude,
animate directions, observant pursuit, scholarly criticism, cheering perspective and enlightened
supervision of Dr. Babar Shahbaz, Institute of Agri. Extension & Rural Development, Faculty of
Social Sciences, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF) His thorough analysis and rigorous
critique improved not only the quality of this dissertation, but also my overall understanding of the
subject. I am grateful to his ever inspiring guidance, keen interest, scholarly comments and
constructive suggestions throughout the course of my studies.
